Please give me a list of coaches we can hire for OC and OL?
Whom we stand a shot of actually hiring.

It would be more appropriate to say “who” as it is an integrative pronoun in the nominative case.

“Whom” is used as the pronoun in the objective case

Its time for a youth movement. Not inexperience but younger.

No idea what Sloan is doing (probably callin plays around his QB liabilities) but something is broken with regard to Oline recruiting and development.

The really good Olineman may not be at the national 7 on 7 camps. We get plenty of 4 and 5 start types that cant do anything but pass block. It seems our recruiting is lazy.

I like saying "Whompst"

ETA: I like the idea of moving Sloan and Davis out, give Atkins OC/OL, promote Tim Rattay to QB coach, and have Kelly deal with TEs. I originally was thinking Trey Holtz to be elevated to TE coach, but then I heard from a friend that he wouldn't be quite ready for a job like that.

At this point let fricking Orgeron coach 'em. I bet they wouldn't get pushed around like we've been seeing.

How about the guy at Neville High School? No idea what his name is but he seems to have a 5 star tackle every other year.

The OP is correct with his use of "whom." The question can be answered by either "him" or "her."

quote:

Use "whom" when the pronoun functions as the object of a verb or preposition, meaning it is receiving the action or is the recipient of the action.

A helpful trick is to substitute "he/she" for "who" and "him/her" for "whom" in the sentence. If "he" or "she" fits, use "who"; if "him" or "her" fits, use "whom".

A defensive coach who is the only LSU coach this century to not have a winning season? Nah.

O was a defensive coach when he was not a head coach. Dline, linebackers, or DC

He is the only coach this century to have a non-winning season (two back-to-back) at LSU.

Those two things make me not want him as an OC or Oline coach.

Is that difficult to understand?

I was phrasing poorly, but not in a coma

The only coach to have a non-winning season this century is what I was going for.

Kevin Mawae as OLine coach is our only choice at this point to make a real difference going forward.
