Would you want Baker as HC in the future

I 100% understand we are stuck with BK for a while, but I think it will be hard to hold onto Baker after this season.
I wouldn’t be shocked if G5s are calling and asking him to be HC or maybe another P4 school.
If he leaves it will be tough to match his coaching ability on that side and I could see a rough few years for BK.
Would we try and bring him back as HC when the position opens?

No! He’s good for the defense right now but I want a proven HC with SEC experience.

I didn’t love Bakers gameplan Saturday, but I wouldn’t be mad if he were our HC some day. I like Baker and think he does a good job connecting with players, and the defense ain’t the reason we lost Saturday.
Please keep in mind I said someday.

I don't think LSU will hire another assistant coach. They'll want him to cut his teeth somewhere else...then maybe entertain it.

No, he hasn't shown he's even the dominant DC this board wants make him out to be. I think he's good but in all realism, he has his struggles and he got significantly out schemed by Kiffin in this game.

Ideally, he'll get poached by a smaller program, show he can handle the job, and we can hire him in the future. I want to keep Blake Baker in Baton Rouge, but that's just me.

He makes a lot of money.
And Lane Kiffin just absolutely took him to school. Ole Miss could have easily scored 40 or more.
I think we are ok.

Are you dumb?
They held a team to 24 points that ran 86 plays

No thanks. He still can't adequately scheme for a semi mobile QB.
A D2 guy blew us up on what, 7-8 third and long plays due to the inability to at least try a blitz or even spy him. Just mind blowing.
If Sanders next week puts on another Milroe performance, I'm done with this too.

Lol, people were saying this about Matt House, too.
Can we let him finish a full 2nd season, first, before worrying about his next job.

Yes please. A young innovative coach who will lock down the defensive side of the ball every year and smart enough to put together a quality offensive coaching staff.

Nope, not as long as Nick Saban is available.

Ole Miss points scored vs SEC teams
Teams that have held Kiffin to 24 or fewer in regulation since the start of 2024.
Kentucky - 2024 - 17 (L)
LSU - 2024 - 23 (L)
Florida - 2024 - 17 (L)
LSU - 2025 - 24 (W)
GO back to 2023 before Baker was at LSU you can add
Alabama - 10 (L)
Georgia - 17 (L)
Moo State - 17 (W)

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove with this. Whether you want to agree with it or not, LSU is lucky they didn't put up 40+ points on that defense. I'm not saying they were the main problem here and they did enough to win the game, but you also are not looking at the big picture.
They kept converting third downs easily and they misused Perkins all game. had nobody really spying a Qb who constantly runs. They could've put up way more points had they not turned the ball over. They had an opportunity to win the game with a stop and they couldn't do it. Also, the fumble was very likely a TD drive but fortunately was jarred lose before the end zone and we got it back.
You would have to be a blind man to think Baker didn't get out schemed bad by Kiffin.

If woody is making the hire then this is true. But hopefully Woody isn't making the hire
