A case of Nussmotism: Is CBK scared to bench Garrett because of his Dad's NFL Connections?

If that is the case, save face and get your Media Henchman to stir up a faux injury narrative like old Lebron James does each year (after he gets bounced from the playoffs) and do some damage control around Father & Son feelings.

Van Buren could absolutely give this team a spark. #11 would have put LSU up in a position where Starters would have been out of the game vs Louisiana Tech in early 3rd Quarter instead of playing the entire game.

Do not waste this Defense.

That wasn’t Nussmeier I saw last year.

Anthony Jennings would have won that game with his legs. Etling. Etc.

He is well below the standard of what takes to start at LSU right now.

It seems like CBK is hiding something about Nuss, in a protective kind of way. So sit him until he heals up, because what is going on now is causing irrefutable damage to his carrier.

I’m probably reaching here. I’ve wondered if he(Nuss) has stipulations in his NIL contract about speaking on his injuries and pulling him because of it.

This is an interesting angle. If true, CBK needs to be fired for letting college kids dictate the future of the program. Unacceptable.

I don’t see that happening.

I think there are pressures to keep playing Nuss. It could be a contractual obligation in his NIL deal. Whatever the reason, it looks like we’re going to crash the season instead of playing for a championship.

I’m not reaching here when I speculate that Daddy Nuss has instructed his kid to not scramble under any circumstances due to risk of injury. I think they are in protect mode at the expense of W’s and L’s, and inadvertently killing the kid’s draft stock. Add that to the 100 other theories floating around, including the alternate possibilty the kid just doesn’t like getting hit.

So Nuss' dad wants him played so his draft stock can tank?

I’m sorry what power does a nfl oc have over Kelly? Why would kelly be scared of what Doug can do? Kelly makes probably 10 times was Doug makes.

I’ve been wondering the exact same thing.
What stipulations are in that NIL deal?
I smell a rat; something seems very off.

I think it's a situation where whatever he has isn't a quick fix and may even require surgery that keeps him out several weeks or the season. If it was really something that could be fixed with a week off they would have done it with Southeastern.

That being said, being willing to tank a potential national championship season over this injury is absurd work by BK.

When was Nuss NIL package signed? Was it before or after Bryce Underwood left for Michigan? I’m just curious if it’s a possibility the language could have changed.

LSU out all of its eggs into the Nussmeier basket. They are right to be hesitant to move on.

On paper it’s the right decision to stay with Nussmeier.

So let’s insure we try and prop his draft status, screw the team, university and fans. He only has a few million so we need to help him get more.

Nuss sucks. He’s scared and he plays dumb football.

I can’t imagine any school going along with an NIL deal that stipulated playing time.

But on the field it looks a bad one.

And that’s all that matters
