Crews performing maintenance on the plane discovered the individual around 9 a.m. Sunday morning, and airport division officers declared the stowaway dead on scene, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.
In a statement to ABC News, American Airlines said, "We are working with law enforcement on its investigation."

Seriously, how fricking retarded do you have to be to not know that you cannot fricking survive a transatlantic flight in the wheel well of an airliner.
If the gear doesn’t crush you to death, you’re going to run out of oxygen and freeze to death.

Agreed, but this is more common than you'd ever imagine. Many times the body falls out when the landing gear is deployed and investigators have no idea where the body came from.

Some of them actually bundle up in winter clothing meaning they actually know what they're getting into and still think they can survive above Mt. Everest for 8 hours with a down jacket and a ziplock bag full of snacks.
