Is BK still the coach here? I don’t think so.

We can't afford to buy him out, so yes he would still be here.

Aside from Daniels, Kelly has never had an elite QB. That should have been disqualifying when Woodward was considering hiring him.

The HC main job is building an excellent roster. He did well with JD and his mistake is sticking with Nuss. I wonder if he makes political decision.

He’d be gone for sure. He is LSUs version of Mark Richt. He did right the ship after Orgeron had us sinking but his time is about over.

BK should get credit for bringing in a modern day QB.

Could you imagine how bad we would be this year with B. Underwood and no million $ defense? The dude is barely throwing for 100 yards a game

Well many on this board wanted JD benched for his entire career until he won the heisman. Who was the backup again? What if, what if

“we”? You got a rat in your pocket? You are not an LSU fan. Never have been. You are a POS that was pumping a coach over the program.
LSU was a dog (4.5 on a site) on the road to a top 20 team. They were without their starting right tackle, top running back, and lost their best receiver in the first half then lost their left guard either in the first half or early second half, THEN their best player on defense, went out with an ankle injury and is wearing a boot.

So believe what you believe.

Problem is the massive albatross of a contract Woodward got LSU in with BK. He needs not to wiff on football coaches , wiff on basketball or women’s softball.

Without Jayden, atleast Nuss would be gone by now and we would have learned 2 years ago how bad he was.

I always said there's a reason he was a back up so long. He was never good enough to be a starter and now we are seeing it

With his contract? Unequivocally yes

Even Richt was better than Kelly when it came to staying competitive in big games

He is because of his contract. Main problem with a lot of schools is how much they tie their own hands with coach buyouts. They need to protect themselves more in these contracts. The term “with cause” should have more meaning than it does. Performance standards should drop the buyout, for instance, if you don’t make the playoff after a certain point at a program like LSU, your buyout percentage should start dropping off. I don’t think it’s a crazy expectation for LSU to be in a 12-team playoff at least every two seasons. Coaches should have enough confidence in themselves to accept a performance based standard in their contracts that protects the program from being held hostage from mediocrity. I’m not saying we should be winning the NC ever other year by any means, but after a certain point, you have to be held accountable for not getting the program over a hump.

Yall with this “LSU doesn’t have the money” is absolutely wild. They do.

Buyout is about 60 million now for Kelly alone. They'll have to spend an additional 40 million on a new staff and players next year. Not happening.

Same could be said about Orgeron and Burrow. It's just Ed O was lucky to have Aranda here to be the adult in the room.....
