Just left my son’: Mother shocked by College Park officer accused of not helping after deadly crash[/
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A mother is furious after learning a College Park police officer is accused of not stopping to help her son, who died after a chase and crash.
[quote]Clayton County police said Smith was on duty when he chased an SUV driven by Langley, with Mathew Benton as a passenger, at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The SUV had been reported stolen. The chase ended when the SUV crashed into a tree on 285 East at the exit to I-75 South, resulting in the ejection and deaths of Langley and Benton.

You just left my son lifeless,” Deolisa Benton said. The mother said she has not been getting much sleep since it happened. This is the third son she has lost, with one killed in 2008 and another shot by police in 2014.
All hold a moment of silence….

She sucks at mothering sons.
That said... the article makes it sound like it was an unauthorized chase AND upon the perps crashing into a tree, the cop didn't report it or even stop to render aid.
Assholes all around in this story.

Why hang around when the problem was solved?

Definitely not mother of the year material.

Why was the officer charged with anything? This doesnt make sense

Probably not getting all the facts. Agendas and narratives is the fashion of the day

Likely violated multiple department policies in doing so. His actions could have just as easily lead to the deaths of innocent people on the roadway. frick him and the car thieves in this instance.

Because he ignored and/or failed to do pretty much everything his department requires him to do in the event of a vehicle chase. When he realized he had fricked up he ran away like a little bitch hoping it would all just go away.

quote:Evidently he didn't even inform dispatch that he was in a high speed car chase. Then after the thieves crashed and one of them gets ejected from the vehicle, he didn't inform dispatch or call for medical. All parties involved are pieces of shite.

So, about this so called 'systemic' racism we hear of... maybe the 1 thing that's systemic is how poorly a mother she is.

What we have is a race that systemically behaves inconsistent with civilized society and then labels those opposed to their uncivilized behavior racist. I'll gladly wear that badge. The fatigue is real.

You say 'race', I will call it culture. Learned behaviors, accepted ways of thinking and acting, lack of accountability...
But yes, there is true fatigue here.
