Amid new terror threats against churches and synagogues, I have to wonder if we are prepared to deal with the harsh realities of terrorism as a community, or are we lulled to sleep.

I certainly do not think this should be a reason to disrupt our lives or live in fear by any means, but as grown men who’s natural instinct is to protect and defend we also have to be realistic and responsible. Are you aware of there being any contingencies in place, security, etc at your church that you’re aware of, and do you have any of your own, maybe not just reserved for church?

I’ve been watching this guy’s stuff on and off for a while now, and he has some really good content dealing with this very subject matter in churches, which I think is of interest to all of us.

There’s no going back. The terrorists are living here as easily as they live in the Middle East. The Biden Admin opened the door to a decades worth of terrorism.

I've been having the idea for a while now that sheriff's offices should allow/promote on-duty officers to attend services. It's a win-win. First, it encourages officers to get closer to Jesus. And who wouldn't mind an hour break from traffic-duty, domestic calls, detective duty, etc., while remaining on the clock? Second, the congregation benefits from having an armed on-duty officer among them at no expense to the Church.

My parents attend a church with an aging congregation. It’s mostly boomer aged. Unfortunately, that place has zero security.

That’s who’s most concerning to me.

Nobody can be ready for terrorism, it’s what separates it from standard suffering from violence.

No, not at all.

I made a comment on here in the missing hiker thread a few weeks that I carry at all times, grocery store, to work, from work, a weekend out, in the bank, etc, and was downvoted heavily.

We are bot prepared to stop a threat, and we are not prepared for trauma response, especially if EMS communications are compromised like they were across much of America today.

Go watch Rogans podcasts with Sarah Adams. It’ll scare the shite out of you. We are in no way prepared for what could happen.

For the last few days, I've really been stuck on the danger that Muslims bring. I don't really know what has changed in my mind to really focus on that, but I think it's time we really get forceful and make them leave the Christian countries. ALL of them. We need to draw a line in the sand, we don't want to force anyone's hand on religion and we can't exactly expel citizens from their home countries, but they gotta go.

We just aren't compatible anymore. Jesus would probably never do such a thing, but i'm not perfect like Jesus was. I just don't know where to start.

Isn't she basically saying there's going to be an October 7th style event here?

My mom attends a smaller church but their members are packing. They lock the doors once service begins and 2 armed men sit in the back pews ready for any trouble. Makes me feel somewhat better.

I doubt any terrorists would be interested in attacking any churches here in Grant Parish.
We do have a semi-retired deputy that open carries and sits by the entrance.Couple more that conceal carry.

The easiest step to take as a start would be to ask any current/retired LEO or military in the congregation to act as armed security. At each service have at least 3 or 4 at each service, sitting at various points around the church. Numbers can be adjusted to congregation size. Weapons don’t have to be seen and security will be dressed like any other person.

My neighbor is an old school retired army vet and he is the head of security for his Church. There are several of them armed and he regularly has range sessions with the Church security. It's a small to mid size church.

So far there have only been lone actor church shooters, but if any group (muslim or other) decide to come in any numbers, it'll take more than a few armed guards to accomplish the mission. I have yet to see a church prepare for a multiple assailant attack.

Anyone who defends Islam in the US is at best a retard.
