Aside from Clemson, has every opening drive been a 3 and out?

We have to get off to faster starts.

Most drives in general are three & out

Then you need Nuss to be accurate with this throws and not throw to check downs 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage when he has guys open downfield.
But yall not ready for that conversation.

It is wrong. About 35% of all drives are 3 and out. This is from the "Drive Finder" tool that tabulates NFL drive outcomes. I'm sure it's about the same in college.

In 9 SEC games to date with Sloan as OC, LSU has scored a TD on the first possession only once (Arkansas '24). They got a FG vs Alabama. The other 7 have all been punts or turnover on downs.
The play calling is almost always the same. Ineffective runs and short/intermediate passes to the boundary. For Joe, the middle of the field is not open until the 2nd quarter...despite the fact its been shown over and over and over that's where Nuss and the receivers thrive.
As for Nuss choosing to throw the "checkdowns", that is completely out of his character as a player. This is a guy who is constantly aggressive and too many times makes throws he shouldn't instead of throwing the ball away or checking it down. The constant ineffectiveness of the offense to start games is on the OC. End of story. He tip-toes into the play-calling before, at some point, gets reminded of what his QB does best...work between the hashes.

If the offense looks inept this Saturday...well...

We need to stop wasting our first three drives with garbage scripted plays.

The actual answer is no, but it still hasn’t been good. We had 3 & outs to start the games against Florida and Southeastern. So.. 2 of our 4 total opening drives.

3 and out is a staple of the Kelly offense

You're the one who's confused. He wasn't responding to the OP.

Sloan needs to work on his scripted plays. They usually suck.

I feel like we’ve been saying this every week since Sloan and Nuss have taken over last year.
