I wouldn’t mind kicking the tires on him as an offensive coordinator at the end of this season to see if he can revolutionize and fix this offense. (Only problem is he’s not 40 anymore. He’s 58. He’s still a man though. )

Bring him on NOW as an "offensive analyst".

I mean, he wouldn't be my first choice but he would be much better than Sloan in my opinion. He'd come here, look at the offensive playbook, and say "what the frick are y'all thinking?" then completely revamp it. Problem is, would it work in the SEC? Eh, there'd be an adjustment period for sure but he does know offense.

I'm retarded though, so I could be way off on this .

Dude has been a Head Coach for 20 years and is a millionaire multi times over. He’s not going to be anybody’s OC next year. That’s absurd.

OC has to recruit and Gundy seems checked out of the sport altogether honestly. Maybe if there was a spot that had no recruiting responsibilities, like an analyst or something then yeah maybe if he'd even want to do that.

Sure let’s also bring Jimbo while we’re at it.

Guys just because a coach was once a great offensive mind doesn’t mean they still are in 2025. Gundy got way too comfortable and complacent. He thought he was untouchable.

He still deserves his name on the stadium or a statue but it’s time to move on for both parties. Gundy should go to barstool. He’s perfect for it.

I'd bring him in as a consultant for a bit if anything.

I doubt he has any desire to be anyone's OC at this point. He's a made man and doesn't need to grind anymore if he doesn't want to. Probably why he got let go.

He will be working for ESPN or Fox next season.

He’s spent 53 of his 58 years in Oklahoma, 35 of those in Stillwater. He’s been a coach for 36 years, 31 of those at Okie State, including the last 25. He’s not coming to Baton Rouge next year.

He probably hasn’t been deeply involved in running their offense in 15 years.

I’ll never forget when Mike Gundy said he’d have beaten either LSU or Bama in the 2011 Natty.

You serious? Definitely not after his OAN shirt fiasco and numerous other things he’s said over the years such as the DUI thing.

The only place that would take him is barstool and he’d be a natural fit there.

Urban was grabbing Asses of 18 year olds yet there he is.

Also, barstool would be a good fit for him.

I get the feeling that Gundy will likely step away from the game for a bit. At least as a coach anyway
