I’m trying to find a loophole in Christian theology where it’s okay to wish someone dead

But I can’t find one. I was using ChatGPT to help me out with this.
I asked even if I truly believe someone was pure evil, is it OK to wish them dead?
The answer is no because no one is beyond redemption.
I asked if someone blasphemed the Holy Spirit can I wish them dead?
No go on that either. And I had quite a list going. Oh well.

Because there is no loophole there. Our desire is for All to come to know the Savior.

Check in with the Jews on Psalms 35, 59, 69, and 109

There's not a loophole.
There's only human frailty and fallenness.
But the Bible is clear that even that manifests in degrees. A higher degree doesn't make anyone more or less guilty of sin, but it is an indicator of how much a person has given in to sin and how hard their heart has become.

That falls under Mosaic law - not Christianity.

Imprecatory prayer exists in Christian theology, but unfortunately even Baptists have gotten so soft on sin they won’t touch it. It also goes unmentioned that when you pray for your enemies you are actually heaping hot coals upon their head. If they repent, great you gain a brother, but if they don’t, it makes the injustice against you even greater and God angrier.

I’m not getting into why that’s inaccurate. But I was kidding.

There are instances in the Bible where people have prayed for military victory over the enemy. In that situation, people are going to die. Those examples are in the Old Testament. That is the best answer I can offer

"Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
Matthew 12:32

Internet user FooManChoo has developed a verbose defense - as it pertains to advocating for the death penalty.

Jesus said that you'd be better off dead with a stone tied to your feet in a body of water if you cause any harm to a child.

Read the imprecatory Psalms.
It doesn’t mean the actions are moral. But it is therapeutic.

What does the Bible say?
quote:
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

So you missed the whole message of Jesus.
Here's a clue...
Matthew 22:
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Explain all of that to me like I'm five. I can't understand how Christianity wasn't snuffed out millenia ago if we're forbidden from doing anything but loving our enemies and turning the other cheek.
Are all the Crusaders who fought against the spread of islam burning in hell right now?

No. You can rejoice in God’s perfect justice for His judgment of His enemies in Hell, but as fellow image-bearers, we should be seeking the salvation and good of all people, including our enemies.
