He caught two passes for first downs. Had good yards after catch and has good hands.

I think if he keeps working hard we’ll have to find PT for him. Too big and fast not to try

He'd be perfect as a redzone back and we need help in that area. It just hasn't worked out yet.

I can’t remember which game it was last year, but one of the best he had, they got him going with a couple of catches out of the backfield first. He had some nice YAC yards and then he had a couple of nice physical runs after that.

If Durham is knicked and Kaleb is catching the ball well, give him a couple in the flat vs OM to see if that gets him lathered up. They aren’t the best tackling defense, so if he did get in a groove after 2 or 3 catches, it definitely wouldn’t hurt.

Don't get so excited....this was SLU from Hammond Louisiana. Kaleb needs to run from the I position and have a really good run blocking offensive line for him to be successful.....and he needs to get angry.....he needs to really want it.

I don't think he's even averaging 2 yards a carry this year. He wasn't good last year and he definitely doesn't look good this year. Not sure what games you are watching. RBs need dire help right now. No offense to JJ but he's not a true RB.

He’s actually a really good pass catching back. Just can’t hit the hole to run well

jjujaun is good enough with the ball in his hands to be considered a rb. I think he gets a lot of touches and throws a pass against Ole miss. Harlem berry needs to get more carries and definitely more screens

We sorely miss a runner that can bruise tacklers. We lack punch in the running game.

He looks like he's slimmed down from last season.

I remember thinking last year would be his year as he flashed a few times in 23.

I still think if he doesn't drop that screen in the fourth quarter in Oxford when we were up, we go on to score and win that game. He could have gone for at least 20 yards are more he was so open.

But people forget him because he did not make much of an impact last year, with Durham's injury he'll have an opportunity to make an impact.

Kaleb Jackson needs to run assigned holes with overwhelming blockers in front of him. He’s not good at zone reads. I think we could be more successful pulling lead blockers, using TEs and running a series of I formations. I think he’ll run with more confidence, more speed at the assigned gap and he’ll that much harder to tackle.

If Durham cannot go I would expect Kaleb's role to increase. If Durham can go he will get a few plays but I think there is just a clear cut difference in the top 2 and the next 2.

However, Kaleb is by far the best back in pass protection and he has gotten better in check downs. I want to see him more but I also want to see Durham make the correct read because he is a homerun waiting to happen. The more times he goes into an open hole the more likely he will have that homerun run.

Kinda hard when tacklers are around your ankles as you receive the handoff. I agree with you though, no power in the run game at all.

People say the same thing about Durham....that he's not good in zone blocking schemes.

So there seems to be some disconnect here if this is true. I have read about and seen us do more pulling this year but if everyone is right and we have two backs that can't figure out or improve in zone read schemes at this point in the year we need to do that less and run the other stuff more.

But then again Johnson, who it appears may be challenging for back No. 1 status seems to be pretty good in the zone reading category.

Nobody forgot about him. He's played this year just like he did last year and hasn't done well. It's like southeastern is the only game some have watched.

Ju"juan is the only one that knows how to get north and south, and he's not even an actual RB. Hat tip to him.
