I’ve never seen a possession receiver get as much hype as this guy. MULTIPLE games his last year at Buck State he completely disappeared against mid opponents

They straight up stole Malik Nabers' Biletnikoff.

It was ludicrous that they had him rated higher than Nabors or BTJ.

Be quiet. His father may shoot you

This is awesome, when guys put up big numbers against scrubs they pad their stats, now when they don’t (and maybe the team just didn’t use him btw) he “disappears” never mind that they win handily
He had 5-106-2 in the playoff game vs UGA before getting knocked out. He was also good against Michigan and torched Penn St both of his last years so looks pretty good in their biggest games
He was a legit prospect based on production and skills. Nabers definitely should have won the Biletnikoff however that was bs win in the preseason.

It’s Nabers and they went 4 and 6 not a major difference BTJ went in the 20s and isn’t exactly distinguishing himself this year either.

2 for 18 against Indiana
3 for 32 against ND
4 for 25 against Rutgers
3 for 30 against Minnesota
Nabors worst game the same season was 6 for 67 against Florida state in the opener where the LSU offense was a total mess.
And it’s not just that he had a game like 2 catches for 18 yards, it’s that you could watch a half and forget that he was out there. Nabors was constantly a threat to go for 40 on you.

The number is close to the same, but they were not talked about as the same level of prospect

What the frick is going on with BTJ so far this year. Had high expectations coming into the year.

Marv and Caleb are GENERATIONAL!!
Posted on 9/22/25 at 9:40 am to HeLeakin
Marvins issue is having a midget throwing the ball to him. That drop was bad but also a horribly underthrown ball. He's running down the field wide open all the time and Kyler cant see him.

Trevor Lawrence is what happened. BTJ actually played alot better with the backup last year when TLaw got hurt.
Lawrence is a massive bust. Can't believe they paid him 250+ mill

So you are judging him based on how did against bad teams Ohio State beat handily and not against their top opponents

It’s NABERS. At least spell the man’s name right and I already said he should have won the Biletnikoff that season.

Who cares

MASERATI MARV

They beat ND by a field goal and the Rutgers game was 21-16 in the 4th quarter

did he disappear
Yes, I watched most of those games. He had multiple stints in multiple games where he was just a non factor

Sorry about autocorrect. Focus on that instead of the fact that you don’t know ball. You need something to hang on to

You referenced they were drafted close to each other, which is true but leaves a lot of context out. Nabers was not billed as the same level of prospect, at least by the media at the time, as MASERATI Marv.

Against scrubs save Notre Dame. Did you watch the tape? Was he maybe double covered/the focus of the defense? If he was a non factor in the big games I’d understand the criticism but it’s the opposite, you’re just reaching for something to bash him. His QB was Kyle McCord vs Rutgers they only completed 19 passes for 189 yards. Egbuka was 4-29 vs Rutgers does he suck too?

If you can’t get the name right how can we trust you know ball? Of course you are saying a guy “disappeared” vs
Rutgers whole ignoring he torched Penn State twice, was big in games vs
Michigan even though they lost and was on his way to a potential monster game in the playoffs no less against what i would guess is by far the best defense they faced before he got hurt but yes let’s down grade him because of his stats against Indiana
Your problem is you are treating it as a zero sum, i reiterate I agree Nabers should have won the Biletnikoff which is a zero sum but both can be good prospects and NFL players.

Because I could not care less about what “the media” says or what nickname an obnoxious broadcaster for the B1G partner network uses. It’s meaningless. Both were top 10 picks to bad teams. So far Nabers has overcome terrible QB play which is great for me as I have him in my keeper league for another 3 years after him his one

They treated MASERATI Marv like he was guaranteed to be the next Jerry Rice
He’s good, he’ll almost certainly have a nice long career because his skill set will age well. But he completely disappeared in multiple college games against teams that were a lot less talented than his.
I thought Nabers should have been the first receiver off the board with his big play ability, but even if Harrison was the first receiver off the board, that wouldn’t even be that offensive if they didn’t hype the guy up like he was a sure lock hall of famer

Jumped for a ball that would have landed on his knees
