He talked about Bondi specifically and her awful take. Most of MAGA doesn't like her

I seem to remember alot of people getting banned from social media for speaking out against the vaccine and losing their jobs for refusing to get it. The left didn’t think that was a free speech problem back then.

At this point the libs are throwing anything at the wall hoping anything will stick and stop the bleeding of their power.

A lot of people arent comfortable with using govt to limit speech.

This isnt a left/right issue. But it should be a right wing issue solely in the modern age.

I agree with Tucker on many things but he’s wrong here.

Kimmel knew what he was doing and that was to actively inflame a very dangerous situation in which people could die based on his lies and he continued by all accounts to persist in them.

The correct response here would’ve been for lawsuits to be filed against Kimmel and ABC related to their lies and/or defamation, they shouldn’t be involved in firing people however.

Should get rid of the fcc then.

They didn’t actually do anything in this case. ABC made a business decision.

Yep. Remember the left was de-platforming anyone they disagreed with. Also, prior to Elon buying X, Remember how all the conservatives were being shadow banned? They were posting away and none of their followers could see it.

The left has no high ground here.

That being said, I'm OK with conservatives holding the left to the "rules" they created here. The fed needs to stay out of it.

Nothing in the clip says anything close to what the article is claiming.

The longtime former Fox News host did not target President Donald Trump personally in his opening monologue, but went after Attorney General Pam Bondi for comments she made Monday that sparked fierce backlash from both the right and the left.

Yahoo News is lying, again. He wasn’t attacking the Trump admin. He was calling Bondi a clown

After Carr inserted himself into the story. There's nothing wrong with what ABC did, or what Nexstar did. But Carr was out of line.

Correct and no one here should be comortable with that.

All of these moves should be citizen led, not done by govt because of speech they dislike.

If this happened, it's no better than the FBI encouraging Twitter to ban conservatives. That said, I am enjoying all of the quotes from libs a few years ago that the marketplace of ideas was working when Tucker and Roseanne were fired.

And it was indeed an awful take.

Bondi said the Justice Department “will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech.”

Between this and the dumb Epstein binders given to "influencers", how can anyone think she is right for the position she has?

Vice President J.D. Vance was among those urging his supporters to root out anyone celebrating Charlie’s murder and “call them out, and hell, call their employer.”

This isn't trampling the First Amendment. People celebrating this assassination should have consequences, including losing their jobs; they shouldn't be arrested and prosecuted. There's a difference.

quote:

The State Department said it would be seeking to identify foreign nationals “praising, rationalizing, or making light” of Kirk’s death,

I don't want "foreign nationals" aka "guests" in this country celebrating murder. They should have their visas reviewed and possibly deported. Not arrested and prosecuted.

quote:

... aides of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that anyone working for the military could face criminal charges if they made light of the right-wing activist's assassination.

I don't want members of our military (active, reserve, contractor, etc.) celebrating the assassination of one of their fellow citizens. Doing such reveals you're unfit for military service. Members of the military are also somewhat limited on what they can and cannot say.

quote:

Meanwhile, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is the latest to join the ever-growing list of people to face repercussions for comments they’ve made about Kirk’s death.

Jimmy Kimmel had bad ratings (Jimmy Fallon's are actually worse) and ratings for late-night talk shows have been trending downward for years. This genre is going the way of the old variety shows and will soon be obsolete.

This is the whole issue in a nutshell. Bondi is bordering on the "dumb blonde" precipice. Bold, but dumb nonetheless, is not a good combination.

Albeit highly influential MSM Businesses that blatantly spread inflammatory lies which then end in carnage should be held accountable via civil suits. Which is happening. That is why Kimmel got whacked by his EMPLOYER, and not the Government. Same with a lot of colleges and private businesses.

The MSM has definitely screamed "fire in a crowded theater" for quite a while, so they should own it.
