Multiple TD’s in the first half and just ran an 80 yd TD on a scramble against Byrd. He’s going to be a good one folks if he sticks!

As advertised and looks about 6’0ish

He'll stick and he's absolutely as good as advertised.

Is his speed closer to Jordan Jefferson, or is it closer to JD5 speed?
80 yards of him running is a good sample serving for you to judge.

Jordan Jefferson. No slouch and can out run you, but not the fastest man on the field like JD5. Also a powerful runner as well and not afraid of contact.

On the 80 YD TD, he could’ve ran out of bounds but broke through multiple defenders along with the help of some blocks.

His dad played at Byrd and was a really good guy. Glad to see him having success word around the area was he was really into Oklahoma. Could be a great player.

When he runs, he runs like a RB playing QB. Pretty firm running style, and he doesn’t have that liability feeling when he takes off. He’s pretty smart with the ball and made huge plays all night in the air and on the ground

Definitely more JJ than JD5. Daniels is a glider. If Pop can run like Jordan Jefferson in college we are in VERY good shape.

He’s got a feel for the position that you can’t teach.

Idk Houston looks like he’s a bit quicker than Jefferson was as in when he cuts or jukes. I know yall were talking about speed but I just noticed how quick Houston looks.

Jd was faster than WR’s not going to see to many QBs like hiim

JD was one of the most effortless runners I've ever seen. He'd take off running and my first thought is why isn't he trying to run faster and then you realize he just blew past everyone.

Thanks for sharing.

I see some asking if he has JD5 speed. It feels unfair to compare other qbs to his speed. JD5 was a unicorn.

Based on what his dad told me, he’s all LSU. His dad is the QB coach at Evangel.

I was pretty young when JJ was the QB. How good of a runner was he?

Meh. I think they’re talking top end speed. JJ was not quick or shifty, but he could outrun guys once he got going. I think Houston’s acceleration is better than Jefferson’s was. Could be wrong.

He’s definitely quicker than Jefferson, just not Jayden Daniels fast..but he’s fast. If he’s ahead of you, you have to be a fast guy to catch him. Sneaky speed. He has a more of an intentional running style than Jefferson.

Peyton may try to out run you, he may try to run you over, he may try to get out of bounds, he may slide, he may throw it. Every option is possible with him.

What stood out last night is that he displayed every single skill that you want in a QB..including putting the team on his back with clutch plays twice when the defense let Byrd pull within 3 twice.

Going to see him next week vs Airline.
What about his height 5'10" I believe? Might be tall enough for HS but what about D1 SEC teams?
