Texas produces NFL players at the US per capita national average. Whole lot of money for average results. That is to be expected with Texas football though haha.

Louisiana produces D1 prospects per capita at 2.5X that of Texas.
The Texas over-sized branding works most effectively on its own citizens.

These big programs pull almost all of the talent though so it's pretty concentrated and high level. Sure, there are a thousand small programs with no NFL players that bring it to the national average though.
