Good Coach but to put him up as the GOAT is right on brand for Cowherd.

He got you to talk about it.

He needs a super bowl ring, but I don't think this is a bad take. Harbaugh is a really great coach

It’s not a crazy take. He has a college national championship and has been to the Super Bowl. Also impressive that he has got it done at multiple stops on both levels. Was successful at Stanford, a hard place to win. Won 12 games and the Orange Bowl one year. Super Bowl appearance with the Niners. National Championship at Michigan. And now has Chargers looking like they are ready to be really good the next few years. He has an impressive resume

Why isn’t Jimmy Johnson the best ever? He won championships at both the college and the NFL level.

He was also a pretty okay QB.

That being said, is he a better coach than his brother?

Cowherd might be saying that to try and get back in good with Jim after Harbaugh embarrassed him on air a few years ago.
I’m pretty sure Harbaugh still thinks Cowherd is a complete idiot.

Jimmy is the right answer right now. Harbaugh needs at least 1 SB.
He did a lot at some poor schools historically. San Diego and Stanford and rebuilt SF with a horrible team when he got there.
Jimmy rebuilt the Cowboys but Miami was a machine that he continued. He did build up OKST prior.

He's won one title, and now has a show cause because he cheated to win it.
He has been successful in the NFL in the past and now, so props for that, but he is kind of like Meyer in my mind in that after 5-6 years he wears out his welcome somehow

Saban is the greatest program manager of all time
He was great at exploiting any and every loophole to give himself a competitive advantage and getting all (players, boosters, school admin) to fall in line.
He didn’t falter in the NFL due to not being able to be a dictator. He failed because he opted for Culpepper over Brees and in the NFL you can’t process your frick ups by telling them to frick off after one year. He didn’t like being on a level playing field

So Jimmy Johnson's resume but a lot worse.

People might dismiss your take because you’re an OSU fan, but it is correct. He’s slimy as hell, basically banned from coaching college for life. And he plays coy and ignorant when asked about it. His shtick wears thin over time.

James William Johnson has a CFB national title and 2 Super Bowl titles. Everything harbaugh has done Johnson has done better.
