I listen to Finebaum now and then I did today. The 2nd or third caller was a Tiger fan. He went off on Sloan. All his fault play calling play calling play calling blah, blah, blah. All this crap to me only accomplishes nothing but hurting our chances to get big time offensive recruits. I have no proof that it does but damm sure doesnt help by running down our OC on national TV.. SLOAN IS NOT CALLING BAD PLAYS. I think it's Nuss's injury and a young OL. People here were wrong about Ensminger and wrong about Sloan.

I remember when Jayden was in his first year here and was scared to throw the ball deep. , the fans kept blaming Mike Denbrock. LMAO

Denbrock is a offensive genius at every college he coached at.

Next year Jayden starts actually listening to Denbrock and sets NCAA passing records and wins the Heisman

Fans are clueless sometimes.

Recruits do not care about that right now. You drop a bigger bag you get them. Nothing else matters. See how all the big recruits going to nowhere colleges that are paying them more.

If you haven't noticed there's not a lot of dominance like we use to see in NCAA football. That's because everyone is spending and nobody can hold depth because of it, so gone are the days where you saw loaded rosters like Bama dominate everyone. You won't see 2019 again.

LSU is loaded by definition of what we see right now and you see how bad we look on offense right now despite the talent. Same can be applied for any of the top 5 teams or top 10, etc. They all have their flaws because nobody can field a 40 million dollar roster that's 3 deep of NFL players like the old days with Saban to dominate everyone. Ohio State was even flawed last year despite all the money they spent they just got hot at the right time in playoffs.

You are welcome Nick Saban. Unlike you my opinions comes from experience playing the game, sitting in coaches game film review meeting and being associated with many coaches. I did workouts with 2 LSU QB's Paul and Pat Lyons along with Billy Rickman who played for the Atlanta Falcons. No I am not a coach but certainly have much more experience to understand our OC. Bet you disliked Ensminger too. The late Nelson Stokley once told me Steve Ensminger was one of the hardest OC to figure out.

It's not as much of the play calls as it is the play book design. His plays are for a mobile QB, which Nuss is not.

He has no idea how to leverage his personnel for their strengths.

BK said in his presser Sloan is just following his gameplan due to Nuss's issues and an inexperienced OL. AAAAHHHH such a simpleton answer to a much more complicated issue. Rest easy you are in good company here.

I agree with your basic point.

But I doubt many recruits listen to finebaum.

There's a lot more nuance to this. Sloan is a bad OC. He deserves criticism. If little ole me can sit on my couch and call the play before it happens just by personnel alignments you have serious OC problems.

Defense looks for tendencies and Sloan is notorious for bad tendencies to tell to defenses. It's not hard to see it. Like the trademark throw on first down incomplete pass straight to run on 2nd for 2 yards. There's a reason that 2nd down run is never successful. This is 1 of several known tendencies he has dating back to last year and never "fixed" it.

He's an awful OC and will be the reason we don't go anywhere this year. BK is part of the problem and even admits it but he's going nowhere so not sure that really matters at this point.

Like recruits don't have eyes and can't watch our games on NATIONAL TV every week and see the offense is no good.

One advantage they have over you and your vast OC knowledge is that THEY PLAY THE GAME. Hopefully when they are decideding what college to attend they don't take your advice about our coaches
