This and no transfer sit out, are ruining the sport more so than NIL.

A redshirt, or injury? Sure I get it. I can even understand an additional year for COVID purposes, but 7 years? That’s ridiculous.

Redshirt, and possible redshirt for injury is max I can get behind and that’s still pushing it.

At least he's realistic about having zero pro prospects

This dude is 4 months younger than Jayden Daniels and wants to play college football at the same time Daniels will be playing his third season in the nfl after a 5 year college year. Eventually someone has to be an adult and tell these 24 and 25 year olds to frick off.

he would be taking revenue share away from another prospect whether from portal or high school ranks that are not flaunting the eligibilty rules

I'm not saying he wouldn't have a NFL career, he might be able to carve out a Taysom Hill type career with the right coach and earn some NFL $

The judges asked a great question, did the NCAA grant Pavia a waiver or can he be ruled ineligible this season?

If they did, why?

quote:

The judges demanded that Kilaru and Downton address whether Pavia v. NCAA is already over since Pavia is playing this fall and the NCAA has promised to not withdraw the waiver even if it wins the appeal. The judges worried that the case is now “academic,” since Pavia has already obtained what he sought and can’t lose it at this point. U.S. courts don’t provide advisory opinions and instead limit their rulings to actual cases and controversies.

“The only basis for our current jurisdiction is the preliminary injunction,” Hermandorfer observed.

If the judges decide that the NCAA’s appeal is moot, they will deny the appeal but not rule on the substance of the case, a decision that would disappoint both sides.

What crazy is that the Wisconsin in a similar situation isn't playing. He wants a redshirt season for emotional hardship.

Why not more years? He probably gets paid very well. CFB has pretty much became NFL lite anyway. Student-athletes lol.

100% agree.

Almost no rules regarding sitting out after transferring is the worst thing to happen to college football in my lifetime.

If NCAA or conferences don't step in, I think we need to move to NIL money being clawed back in court. Even pros sign contracts they can't get out of and they wanted to be treated like pros.

Schools don’t want to do this because it would be used in negative recruiting. (See, we pay our guys at Ole Miss…Miss State will drag you to Court if you leave.)

Also, NIL isn’t supposed to be pay for play. So while it is pay for play in reality; in court it’s more like advertising dollars.

I hate all of it. I have always been against paying players and the playoffs. I want my players to be amateurs, I want payments to be under the table, I want my bowls to be before January 2nd, and I want those damn kids to get off my lawn!
