If LSU wins this week, Kelly’s Win %

If LSU gets a win this upcoming weekend, Brian Kelly is tied for the second best win percentage ever as an LSU coach, behind only Les Miles
(minimum 10 games coached)
If LSU wins the next 2 weeks, Kelly has the second best win percentage ever as an LSU coach.
Not including Hunter, Boreland, or Pritchard as they coached 1, 7, and 8 games respectively.
Who is Kelly about to have the same win percentage as? Saban, and Arnsparger.
Keep in mind, Kelly was handed a team with less than 40 scholarship players. Less than 1/2 of a football team. That doesn’t mean anything, anymore, but it does provide context when talking about coaching a lot of games over a time period, and Kelly being behind the curve when he was handed the keys.
Keep in mind again, that this year is the first true year of having a deep team, with talent all over the place. 23 offense was loaded, but the defense was Swiss cheese. Keep this in mind, for perspective, to come up with an educated guess that Kelly’s win percentage can only rise from here IMO.
Does the offense need to be better? Fact, it does. Do we have a running issue, and downfield passing issue right now? Fact, we do. But let this team continue to gel.
I’m sure I’m going to have some of the usual suspects “hur, dur, Kelly sucks, and so does LSU” come in here to tell me none of this matters, but to me it provides an overall outlook of LSU as a program.
LSU did not become a juggernaut program until 25 years ago. Is LSU currently a top 5, maybe even top 3 job in CFB? Yes it is, but you need to look at history, instead of expecting LSU to win every game, and win those games 100-0 with zero mistakes.
The truth is some of y’all are spoiled, and miserable, and expect every little detail to go LSU’s way. That’s not how football works, that’s not how life works.
LSU is the #3 team in the country and 3-0. That’s better than 134 other teams in FBS football can say for themselves right now. Appreciate the good, and stop expecting LSU to have Joe Burrow, Leonard Fournette, Jefferson, Chase, a Joe moore offensive line, Joe Brady, etc while maintaining a 2011 level defense.
LSU will win their next 3 games, and I don’t care if we beat both Ole Miss and South Carolina each by 1. I hope some of the tune changes up around here when they do it.
Bitch after a loss, but why bitch now? LSU football is on an upward swing again. Appreciate it.

I really don’t give a flying frick about winning %! If he doesn’t get us in the playoffs it’s all for nothing.

He will get us in the playoffs.

And the lowest win% vs ranked opponents for a coach at LSU
in over 25 years so what’s your point?

Winning percentage?
Who gives a fckk. That offense cant win a national title.
I'm not complaining here about the offense since I think it will improve just a little and be good enough. But in the current state, that isn't a national title team.

I'm pretty sure win % is exactly what gets you in the playoffs...I think, right?

I wish Les left football on better terms. He deserves to be recognized

Without an offense, we lose to OM, BAMA, A & M, and OK. With the talent we have on offense with so many skilled players we do not have an OC that can use them effectively. To conservative. Without the great LSU defense, we would be 1-2 that's just the facts. FL had over 23 1st downs almost 2x that of LSU. This offense has major issues and its Sloan. Period.

Winning games are fun yes, but Miles and O won CHAMPIONSHIPS. 12 team playoff, if he doesnt get in this year he never will.
