Weston Davis had been a liability at RT the first 3 games. Alot of people hate on Chester but I do not think DJ Chester was ever this bad.

PFF grades per game:

Clemson: 51.5
LA Tech: 50.6
Florida: 34.7

You cannot have a successful offense with this type of play from your Right Tackle.

In fairness UF is the best DL we will face this year. I’m surprised and grateful Braelin was able to go, can you imagine?

Anyway, rushing game is at the point where you need staff changes next year or we won’t be able to retain RBs.

Sometimes the other team has something to say about any players’ performance.

UF is legitimately probably one of if not the best DL in CFB, especially interior DL. It’s not a fluke, they have 2 NFL guys at DT.

This coming from someone more pissed than 90% of posters here over the offense and run-blocking under Davis.

Or at least make him a TE or get Bordelon in. LSU needs more beef on the line.

Yes. Too bad Thomas isn’t back yet. We need to work some of these youngsters in there.

“They had the best DL we will see all year” bro just stop. We gonna somehow say this or something similar about every team that holds LSU’s offense in check. Which by the looks of it, will be most of the teams we still have left to play.

You can check my post history if you like, I’m not making excuses for our completely ineffectual run game and lack of vertical passing threat — both carrying over from last season.

I can still acknowledge UF objectively has one of the best interior DL in CFB (best DT did not play vs USF btw & I think he re-injured the knee at the end of our game, so his football career might be done (5th yr sr) but… the guys they had lined up Saturday were legit).

I agree he’s been sub par. Maybe we try other guys this week.

But 2 of the top 5 DLs in the country, by nfl draft metrics, are Florida and Clemson.

Yeah. Our schedule was front loaded with the d lines. Breaking in 5 new starters on the o line. Right tackle is a redshirt freshmen. Give them time.

Are they? They had virtually zero pass rush against USF

How does that impact the pass protection of our RT, who typically sees DE’s or OLB’s rushing him.

Just curious but who are the other 3 and do these draft metrics apply to underclass men too?

I’ve heard that OU has a legit, havoc wreaking front 7 and that South Carolina is pretty good too.

Our right tackle sucks.

I know, let's put in a guy who is worse than him in practice and see what happens.

Do you people listen to yourselves?
