The playbook hasn’t changed much since day 1 at LSU.

Whether you like Sloan or not, he is doing what BK wants. The presser confirmed BKs thought process. If BK wanted to air it out, Sloan would be calling it.

The issues are that he starts each game with a very conservative script, which isn’t really trying to score. This means that we are giving away possessions. The pressure is then on to score on every possession after the first Q if the other team is scoring.

You can see the play calling change each game after the script is done. The first slants we run are always around the 3rd possession. It is like clockwork.

The Online is struggling. However, they have been going up against two very good D fronts. But when the D can stop the run without Safety help, there won’t be a long passing game.

Bottom line is that BK feels we can score 14-20 while the D holds the opponent to 10.

Well they both suck at calling plays then.

They really controlled the LOS. Fla forced us into a short passing game. We struggled to execute.

The problems we are having this year are the same problems we had last year.

Penalties kill so many scoring drives. Execution is more of an issue.

That is coaching. The whole O staff needs to improve. But it all starts in the trenches. The O line needs the most help.

As much shite as people are giving Sunbelt Billy shite and rightfully so, Florida has only given up 2 offensive TDs in the season, as many offensive TDs they have themselves.

Truth is LSU hasn’t looked good on offense that’s for damn sure but we have played 2 really good defenses in Clemson and Florida.

The problems we are having this year are the same problems we had last year.

And this is how to fix it:

1st down- pass - gain of 7
2nd down- run from the shotgun -no gain
3rd down- run from shotgun up the middle - no gain
4th down- punt it to the moon

My 7 year old calls a better game on Madden

Fla’s D line was better than Clemson’s and they are supposed to have two 1st rounders.

We got offensive issues but ill say this, we may not face another great Defense like Florida for the rest of the season. They had a legit front and as a team were fast to the ball. Oklahoma got a good defense but not fast as Fla is.

Nuss was 76.9% completion rate vs USC for 308, 73% for 302 vs Nicholls & 60% for 285 against South Carolina in the first games with combined 10 TDs. Nuss so far has had one 70% completion game (Clemson) while not even coming close to throwing for 300 yards in a game yet. He has 3 combined TDs on this season so far so no, the offense is not having the same problems it did a year ago in terms of the passing game.

This proves even more that BK can be more aggressive on O. Last year, the D struggled and BK had to ride the O. He doesn’t have to do that this year.

The O basically gives away the first two possessions each game. It is hard to be perfect after that.

RickDaddy swore to me that he knows football so much and I needed to shut up about the offense.

I’m going to wait for internet username RickDaddy before I make any more decisions on the 2025 LSU Offense

I’m talking about it on a macro level. Last year we struggled to run the ball, didn’t have a vertical passing threat, and struggled in the red zone. All of those things are true this year as well.

LSU’s defense is elite but idk if people are ready for the games against A&M, OU and Bama. Hell, even Ole Miss.

BK is gonna have to open things up. The defense will eventually give up some points.

Exactly, not trying to disparage the defense ( which is fantastic), but LSU's MVP last night was Florida's QB.

This defense is not going to be able to bail out the offense each game.

The offensive play calling sucks and it looks like Nussmeier has regressed from last year.

If I was an NFL scout, right now I'm not feeling he is even a pick in the first 4 rounds.

The cuffs will come off if we go down by two scores. The issue will be execution at that point.

You didn’t see the shotgun runs up the center’s arse for no gain on second and third down last year?
