Think about it along the lines of NFL. Each week is simply about winning. Too much parity to be dominant. Teams will ebb and flow over the course of a season. Get better each week.

Kelly has the right mentality. Go 1-0 each week and give yourself a shot in the playoffs. Any NFL team that is 3-0 is ecstatic, and we should be too.

No this board knows more than the coach. We are the “brightest” and a “hive mind”

The transfer portal has forever changed what we thought about consistency of a program’s performance

I would agree, BUT, to deny that the O needs improvement is putting your head in the sand.

If he does not seriously work on the O, it will kill us later in the season. To not be able to get a 1st down when needed is not championship worthy.

Bro, we’re not going “1-0” every week if our offense is this weak.

You don’t think they aren’t working on the offense? I promise they are.

They busted the most explosive run on the last drive when they needed it most. This team isn’t far off.

The balance of talent has never been this tight. Case in point, Vandy whooping Bama last year and now giving USCe the business yesterday.

Meh, UF sold out to stuff short yardage. When teams do that it’s very common to pop a long run. We got the first down, which is great. But let’s not act like there was some hole blown open along the DL.

Or, it is about expecting improvement in the offense. This is the NFL. LSU has beaten two overrated teams that are now unranked and a G5 LaTech team. They have looked awful on offense for 10 of 12 quarters so far this season.

Their schedule is going to get harder and not easier.

Clemson and UF’s offenses have looked awful to start the year. I have no doubt the defense is great but these may e of the 4 worst offenses LSU plays all year.

Did you watch the dogshit offense last night pick up 9 first downs in 4 quarters?

Yes, but how many three and outs did we have last night? 5? 6?

With this defense, LSU can win just about any game scoring in the 35 point range and controlling the TOP, first downs, etc.

But with 5 picks last night, all the offense could muster was 9 first downs, 13 points, and a serious TOP deficit.

That’s not going to cut it.

I think everyone is happy that LSU won, but fans know that if the offense continues to play like they did against Florida, they will drop some games. It's even more frustrating to see how great the defense is, and being paired with such an inept offense.

We beat a mediocre Clemson team, a horrible La tech team & a mediocre Florida team. We still have the worst ranked offense in the SEC. You are kidding yourself if you don’t see the glaring red flags. It’s exactly why Kelly blew up at the reporter, because he does not have an answer.

Exactly right. Great post. But you’re not gonna win over many people with this thought process because they still have idiots here who feel we should never lose to a certain team is regardless of who’s wearing their uniform.

Maybe year to year.

But not week to week. What a miserable take.

I mean they were up by 10 with 1:52 left and it was 3rd & 1. They didn’t need an explosive run, they simply needed to get one yard. And they really didn’t even need to do that considering they were up by multiple scores. The game was over at that point.
