I know I distinctly heard, a few times, Media Talking Heads say he was a Sheriff of Washington Co., and personally escorted his son to the Courthouse and turn himself in, I only watch FOX and Newsnation, may have been one or both

What is the current story on this? The father called a Reverend and then he called a friend that knew a federal Marshal? The shooter threatened suicide A Marshal held the shooter until police arrived?

The story goes the pastor or minister called Tyler’s dad and said I think this is your boy.
The dad agreed and one of two things happened.
1. The dad wrassled his son and held him down until the cops came
2. The dad took his boy to the police station to turn himself in
Haven’t gotten confirmation either way so far to my knowledge. Just glad he’s in jail.

Dad was not law enforcement, but the mother was a social worker. Her social media is gone but I’d like to know more about her and if she had any involvement with his mental health.

Dad convinced him to talk to a local youth pastor who worked with the local sheriff's office and Marshall Service. The youth pastor called someone else who then reached out to law enforcement.
