Likely to ask people to stay calm (and thank people for supporting them). Kirk doesn't want violence. He was an upstanding Christian man and, by all accounts and by everything I've seen of him, wouldn't want violent revenge done in his memory.
It's also what the left likely wants, to make this a both-sides issue.

You’re probably right. But what if she says the truth, that we are in a spiritual war for the soul of this nation. That all my husband wanted to do what debate in the arena of ideas, and they labeled him a fascist Nazi until the day they assassinated him.

I don't think that message is at odds with what I said. She can say that but still call for peace because, ultimately, vengeance will be the Lords.
