One thing to think about in the Charlie Kirk Assassination

the board has a lot of threads with a lot of the same “check out this leftist take on social media on Kirk’s death”
I read the hateful words of the social media posts on the murder of a young man and they mostly have the same flaw. They use Charlie Kirk as an avatar for right wing hate speech when he was easily the nicest, most polite and fair conservative pundit out there
he never embarrassed or “owned” anyone, he would never attack the messenger no matter how much they deserved it
he would let them talk no matter how weak or snarky or angry they were and then he would calmly and systematically pick their arguments apart
the young girl in Charlotte and Kirk will become martyrs to the rejection of progressive ideologies and methods
the young woman was the victim of a crazy person released by an ineffective system.
Kirk was the victim of a murderous strategy to silence him. If the mission was to send a message to the conservative movement by silencing a prominent leader of the right the killer picked the wrong guy to shoot.
These two tragedies are going to damage the progressives very deeply

He was way too effective, and that’s why he was silenced, May we all step up!!

All you have to do is look at the people the left has celebrated as model citizens.
Those they celebrate are career criminals, and criminalize those that disagree with their views

This point needs to get more traction and I hope it does. I appreciate OP for pointing out the way Charlie acted. Another thread was started by someone who mentioned his son knew who Charlie Kirk was, when that thread OP didn't.
I just received a message from my 21 yo daughter, from college, who I never imagined knew about Charlie Kirk.
She wrote "Dad, did you hear someone killed Charlie Kirk yesterday"
We should all use your description to remind people of Charlie's demeanor and manor when he was in the 'lions den' of American colleges and universities.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ETA: my daughter called me a couple of hours after this was posted. We had the best conversation I can remember in many years, as I had to console her about this violent act. She was upset by the number of people her age on TikTok celebrating Charlie's murder.
At 21, I can say she has turned the corner, away from anything remotely woke. I've always been concerned about her tendency to follow the popular culture, but I truly believe she has had an awakening.

What people have to understand is that about a third of this country believes that anything said by anyone that goes against their deranged, demented, and insane far-left wing whackjob political ideology is “hate speech.”
Further, you better be in on EVERY ONE of their insane fricking position or they will look to cancel and kill you as well. Just ask J.K. Rowing. I’d put good money on her spending a lot more on her personal security staff since she's publicly come out against dudes competing against girls in sports.

You are 100% correct.
Now this radical event is going to radicalize a lot of people especially gen Z and they are going to make figures like Nick F. more popular. Based on the radical events that have just occurred the last few days his views don't seem that unreasonable now, even to the older Gen X and Boomers.

You would think, if you only listened to the media, that right leaning Supreme Court justices never join the left, while the left justices are completely apolitical. It’s such a fricking dirty thing they do. These aren’t silly little lies. It’s an effort to completely warp the world view of citizens.
And it works to perfection.

He died doing what he loved and for the country he believed in.
The people that hate him will die old, shitting their depends waiting on someone to change it.
Sad but, I hope I can go out in the same type of manor Kirk did.
Hero and leader to some, a Patriot for the country.
RIP Mr. Kirk.

his views are very Western traditional, Christian mainstream and common
some may not like them and feel like his points are out of touch but nothing Kirk said was outlandish or divisive/destructive

I'd say that I'm shocked at how brazen some of the people are celebrating it but these extremists only know their own bubble and don't realize there will be consequences
And of course some of them are losers that don't have anything to lose

The one and ONLY silver lining I can come up with about this horrific situation is that any of the younger high school to college aged generation who didn't really know much about Charlie and didn't have a pre-formed opinion about him are going to look him up and watch his content. The impact that Kirk will have on the next generation of American voters will be MASSIVE, even after his passing.
Today's climate in the media, politics, entertainment, and "higher ed" constantly berates and belittles heterosexual, young, white, Christian, conservative men for their inherent "privilege," usually bullying them into silence instead of speaking out about their beliefs. Charlie is a role model not to back down to the lunacy of the left, and I truly hope that the next generation embraces who he was and continues his legacy.

I'm sorry. You misunderstood me. I know Charlie's views were very traditional conservative. I was just making the point that radical events like the past few days will make more radical views like Nick F.'s more palatable even to Gen X and boomers.

On BlueSky, they're also calling for Ben Shapiro (by a huge margin), Joe Rogan, Matt Walsh, and Dennis Prager. Dennis Prager! They sure do seem to hate them some Jews.
