Don't Sleep on Florida — Wounded Gators Bite Hard

Look, I know Florida’s had a rough stretch. Coaching questions, injuries, fanbase grumbling — it’s easy to look at them and think this is a team on the ropes.
But that’s exactly why we need to be locked in.
Wounded animals are dangerous. They’ve got nothing to lose and everything to prove. That kind of team can come out swinging — desperate, hungry, and ready to make a statement. And if LSU isn’t ready from the opening whistle, it could get messy fast.
This game isn’t just about rankings or records — it’s about pride. And if we want to keep our season on track, we’ve got to treat Florida like they’re 10-0, not 1-1.
Handle business. Play smart. Hit hard. Geaux Tigers

If you think Brian Kelly or any coaches/players are thinking UF is less of a threat bc they lost, you have not been paying attention. BK knows the SEC is a gauntlet and the week before does not matter. They are treating each game as if it is a chance to go 1-0. They know what happened last year and know the stakes. Fans know this too.

I don't think any wounded animals will actually play football this Saturday.

All of this hyperbolic bullshite fans drum up means next to nothing in terms of the actual result. Being "pissed", "angry", "hungry", or whatever adjective you chose to insert matters for, at best, about 5 minutes of the game. After that the result is determined by what it's always determined by, execution. Who does their job better. You can "want it" as bad as you'd like. But if you are missing assignments, making poor decisions, missing blocks, taking bad angles on tackles, etc, it doesn't matter how "bad" you want it.
Each side is going to have a plan. Each side will want to win badly. But it's who does their job the bet that will determine the outcome.

I knew I should have taken off work today to start getting focused.

Lagway didn't begin to practice until a week before their opener due to injuries. The rust is showing. I understand its Florida & LSU fans remember battles over the years with Florida but realistically, this game is a bad match up for Florida with how the Tiger defense is playing & the rust of Lagway.

In recent years LSU made struggling QB’s look like Heisman candidates. Not this year.

Would be pretty stunned to see LSU overlook a Florida team that 1. beat us down a year ago and 2. has a QB as talented as DJ Lagway. Watching film on him has got to have their attention. He's got the ability to beat you even when you play well. He was off last week - likely due to his lack of practicing this offseason, but eventually it's gonna click for him this year and he'll round back into form. Hard to imagine that being on the road in Death Valley, though.

No shite, Sherlock.
I’ll keep this in mind when I get in the game Saturday night.

Exactly especially on the offensive side coming off a sloppy performance where they left a ton of plays on the field last week. The emphasis & focus all week long has been clean up the mistakes & focus every snap as they did in the opener vs Clemson. Look for the defense under Baker to throw the kitchen sink at Lagway & the offense to have their best performance of this early season.

They aren't wounded animals. They ars self-absorbed, attention whore, Gen-Z kids that chase the money, opt-out of bowl games (or the remainder of a season) and transfer when they don't get the playing time they think they are entitled to.

Florida = dead man walking

Yep- agree with OP here.

I’ve been watching film and preparing all week. I’ve been letting the rest of the team know to not take Florida lightly during our joint film sessions. Oh wait I’m not a player or coach so it really doesn’t matter what I do or say.

Wounded Gators Bite Hard
All gators bite hard due to evolution. Has anyone measured the bite force of a healthy gator vs a wounded gator? I'd like to see that data.
