It’s 9/11 and I am numb

This last couple days have been rough and today we observe 9/11. We lost to many great Americans on that day and we seem to still be losing great Americans. I just wish we could be that country that was so united after 9/11 happened. God bless the families that lost love ones that day and god bless the USA. We need it

Today, thousands of Americans celebrated the demise of an American who spread the message of family values, Christianity, and common sense.
He was labeled as a person who spread "hateful ideologies".
This country is cooked, brother.

Respectfully, if this is about Kirk, keep this tf out of 9/11 threads please

I hope that Charlie inspired these younger people to stand up against the hate even if you didn’t agree with him. Saw so many times on his videos that just hearing different sides was just as good as agreeing because the discussion was being had.

I don't know why people keep saying this. It never happened. The same types who are dancing on Charlie Kirk's grave are the exact same types showing their asses immediately after the attacks on 9/11. The dust literally had not settled and the usual suspects were blaming America; that we had brought it on ourselves and, by extension, deserved it. They were also the same ones rolling their eyes and making snide remarks about all the outward displays of patriotism, calling it jingoistic. There was never any unification as a result of 9/11.

Honestly dude Charlie is everything this country was founded on. God, Country and following the laws our founding fathers established. 9/11 is a reminder of how great this country is when it comes together in the worst times. Charlie followed this with open communication no matter what side you were on.

Those courageous souls on flight 93 who didn’t let the terrorists win.
They did not let the terrorists reach their objective .
Those are the heroes . They prevented who knows how many deaths by sacrificing themselves

They keep saying it because it’s true. Not your twist of revisionism.
The asshats celebrating today existed back in 2001? Sure. But they were the extreme minority. There was a definite solidarity of patriotism and rage for action after 9/11 on both sides of the asile. It was only with the build up for the Iraqi invasion it started to fade. Don’t forget the PATRIOT Act, which eroded personal rights for sake of “safety” only had one dissenting vote in the Senate.

this is what I remember 9/11 for. The Americans that stood up against the evil even if they knew what the outcome would be

It's hard to imagine the city of New York knocking on the door of electing a mayor that shares the same ideology as the hijackers.
2025 is a fricking wild ride.

The country has really gone down the tubes in the last 24 years.
Especially the last 15 or so.

Good post. 9/11 was a tragedy, but at least it brought us all together.
