It’s a stupid comparison, but the only other death that it reminds me of in terms of its longevity of its affect is that of Kobe Bryant.

It’s sad for America more than anything. Just sad. Kids that will no longer have a father, a wife without a husband…our country is broken.

Our country is not broken. Deranged leftist, totalitarian Democrats are trying their damndest to ruin it.

It is broken. People shouldn’t feel this way about fellow Americans. Leftists openly wallowing in his murder…that of a fellow American, just because they disagreed with his ideas and words. That is fundamentally broken.

Shamoan it hit us all hard, it has been since the 1960's we had this happen.

It’s got me messed up, I always thought favorably of Kirk, but didn’t keep up with all his channels and debates and whatnot. Glad he got to touch as many people as he did spreading truth before he was taken from us

Paul Walker hit me hard too.

For literally no other reason than I perceived him as a having this infectious, radiant soul in real life. And the idea that something like that could be lost in a flash was hard to level with.

I’m lightyears better at exploring my thoughts and emotions nowadays. But this one has me completely numb.

This hits hard. It hits hard in a lot of ways.

It actually got me thinking.. when was the last time someone on the right tried or succeed to assassinate a public/political figure? MLK?

It always seems to be left leaning over the last 30-40 years.

Yep. But while tragic Kobe? Charlie Kirk should instead be compared to others such as MLK Jr which changed thought and direction. As per the latter, the Dems have long distorted MLK's goals and still try to connect them to LBJ's racist initiatives. Kobe? I suppose you are young as eff.

I agree. Not sure we can come back so easily from their violence. This seems to go on and on. These kids have been taught by professors to take violent action. Time to clean these schools out. Start at the top.

I agree with you. Our college aged son reached out to comment that this is still incredibly sad that political polarization leads to violence like this

Charlie Kirk was a generational patriot. He was extremely smart and articulate. He was having a tremendous impact on college campuses by debating and exposing the left. That's why he had to be silenced.

I wasn’t a big Charlie Kirk guy- however my heart breaks for his family , his kids , his wife , everyone who loved him. It’s an unspeakable and horrific tragedy and I am way more broken up and emotional about it than I could expect. Perhaps it’s the empathy all fathers have for our peers and the biggest fear we have of not being able to be there for our children manifest in his family’s circumstances. Perhaps it’s also because it’s a stark reminder of how fragile and fleeting life is which is always something that can you keep you up and night if you dwell on it too much

It you don’t like the comparison, which I admit was flawed, reread the part where I said it was a stupid (read unequaled in significance). It was a lingering death in the way Koby’s death was, in a way that is difficult to articulate. I’m 43 btw. Some people just want to be contrarian…I guess we found you.

unfortunately it IS broken, because we've ignored the problem for so long that the only solution at this point includes a massive amount of bloodshed

and that's coming one way or the other, either theirs or ours but it is coming
