Why young women stop wearing short hair cuts like back in the 90s and early 00s?

What happened to young women wearing short hair? It seems like the only women that wear short hair today are grandmas and Gen X/Boomers. The short hair cut look was sexy back in the day and to me made those girls stand out. It seems like most of the women today all just want long straight hair and to essentially look the same .. especially young women 18 - 35 ... I would like to see more diversity in how women decide to wear their hair in 2025 and beyond. I feel like guys do a much better job, follow the leaders ladies

Because alot of women named Karen with similar haircuts gave it a bad name. And people with it started being accused of being lesbians.

I feel like hair extensions got cheaper or something, now every woman I know 20s-40s has the same generic swirl & waves.
I think their real hair is still short like the 90s OP

Sure, some can pull it off. But even the ones that can would still look better with longer hair.

Disagree. Gets tougher to even be able to tell if someone’s a female, everyday, we don’t need to add to the mystery. Maybe it’s time you come out the closet.
