Interesting numbers. 3 of LSUs current wrs discussed. That DK Moore number puts into perspective why Keys is committed to Tennessee if the word around the water cooler and his number are correct. 700 grand seems like a bargain considering Anderson and Browns number along with Keys reported number(north of 700 grand). Key take away for me, the portal is not the way to build a roster when considering the money.
Another take away, Aaron Anderson is underpaid.

Why link paywall stuff? Is any of it legit, the numbers?

+ Oregon true freshman Dakorien Moore was the No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the 2025 cycle. Sources have said his deal with the Ducks is at least $700,000.

+ LSU hit the portal this offseason to give Garrett Nussmeier some new options in the passing game. Kentucky transfer Barion Brown and Oklahoma transfer Nic Anderson are both on deals valued around $650,000.

I'd rather pay a proven player like Barion Brown that type of money than to give it to an incoming freshmen that will have to at least learn the ropes and build strength for a year. LSU has been doing it right. Try to get some of the homegrown talent to commit, because you know LA isn't going to be dry of WR talent, then supplement out of the portal.

LSU has a budget just like everyone else
LSU cannot sacrifice that budget for players like Underwood, Moore, Keys, etc if other teams go over that budget
You move on to the next player on your board and stay within budget
It's pretty simple

Same thing with Tenn, they didn't want to pay Nico more money so they moved on

Nic Anderson has been disappointing up until this point. I don’t see anything he does great.

Please keep your estrogen in check. It’s too early in the season.

So we lost DK over 700k, SMDH...that's baby money, we had that.

Well, why don't you go get Keys for us ? It's easy to say we instead of I.

LSU increased its offer to Tristan Keys to $1,000,000 after Tennessee approached him the first time.

Tennessee then matched and he flipped.

Tennessee is also signing a top QB … so he knows who will be throwing him the ball.

I Heard 1 mil# from Moscona.

Ok … let me seat-belt myself into the chair as someone will now say something about Moscona .

He’s taken over Chris Hiltons roll and he can actually catch the ball when it hits his hands

It just blows my mind how a kid and his parents can’t see the monetary value of coming to LSU over Oregon? Taking the extra 100k or whatever the difference is instead of taking that loss initially to become a star at LSU. Like we’ve shown in the recent past with so many other WRs.

IMO that has a value on it, so if LSU is offering 500k and Oregon offers 700k then LSU is still the more valuable offer. I mean these people have to be blind not to see this. Unless they don’t believe in their kid and truly think the extra 200k is worth it because the kid will fail. Then I understand. But whatever. If you become a star at LSU your worth will likely be much more than at Oregon. Your notoriety will be worth much more because of the recent successes before you. Maybe I’m crazy?
