Public Service Announcement.

If you are traveling from Jackson Parish to West Monroe via Hwy 34 and then Hwy 546 to I-20 please listen.

Everyday many(to many to count) large dump trucks and 18 wheeler dump trailers are using that highway. If you take that route allow 10 minutes extra to navigate Hwy 546 because if you get behind the convoy it’s traveling at 30-35 mph and rightfully so because of curves and hills going toward interstate 20. If you have any emergency you will not be able to pass them. New Nachitoches is worse because that’s where the dirt pit is. These trucks are going to the META Center in Richland Parish. At this moment the best route from JP is Hwy 34 into West Monroe. You will have school traffic and mill traffic in the morning but it’s way better than Hwy 546 at this time.
Ps: I’ve been driving Hwy 546 for 35 years and never seen anything like this.
Take care and God Bless!

That ain't pissed off compared to the pissed off of the people who live around the destination of all that dirt. It's a madhouse and the locals be mad.

They actually hired a psychologist to help those people relocating from San Fran to Monroe to adjust to the differences. Watch out for the pronoun police. Lol

I’m sure people in SWA are upset about construction hassles on the new lithium plant up there too, but this is what happens when big facilities are being built. A lot of these same people will cry about no jobs for their kids and grandkids causing them to move to Texas.

And it just so happens that the dirt from their dirt pits is the only kind anywhere that meets the grade and specs for this specific project. Just total coincidence.

Why can't people get this right? This annoys me a lot more than it should.
