He was charged with contempt of court. Is that something the judge can revoke after the fact or does he go to jail?

I think he was warned he was on thin ice but Jessup confessed before the judge declared contempt.

The judge said “Consider yourself in contempt” and he told Col. Jessup you don’t have to answer that question

That courtroom scene will always be one of my top 3 or 4 favorite movie scenes ever. If I am flipping channels and see it on, I will stop and watch every time.

You’re referring to Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee, the fictional JAG lawyer from A Few Good Men (film and play). He was not actually arrested for contempt of court.
In the story, Kaffee aggressively questions Colonel Jessep during the court-martial, even calling into doubt Jessep’s statements—a bold move that provokes strong reactions. At one point, a judge says “Consider yourself in contempt!” in response to Kaffee’s accusations. However, this is theatrical dialogue and not a formal arrest—Kaffee is never physically arrested or detained for contempt in the plot.
To sum up: Lt. Kaffee faces heated courtroom dramas and a judge’s admonishment, but there’s no arrest or actual contempt charge filed against him in either the play or the movie.

No. After that he stopped being a lawyer and became a spy and then a really bad arse ex-military dude.

To another OP question- - yes, a judge can withdraw his order holding one in contempt

Some people can't handle things that aren't 100% realistic

He strenuously objected to the ruling.

There's a lot of hard truths Colonel Jessup spoke in that movie that liberals can't handle
But, the fact is, we DO need him on that wall.

Only took 17 posts , on the very first page, to bring politics into a thread that is about a cinematic masterpiece ……. Wow, I’m sexually aroused, commander .
