The positive:

1. We have 2 really good running backs, and a third who looks promising. Miller showed that extra gear which spent the last 3 years locked in DA’s doghouse. AK looked sharp as well.

2. Defense looked faster at times than in years past. Davis and Jordan had big days. Thought we stopped the run decently well, outside of a few big plays when we didn’t set the edge

3. Kellen Moore has a good scheme. Some good runs that he schemed up. Also he understands rattler, and how he needs quick, one read looks to be successful. He gave him a ton of those today

4. The guys fought and battled, and frankly gave a shite. That’s something

5. We might have a punter

The negative:
1. The penalties were an abomination. The amount of pre snap penalties were particularly alarming

2. Still can’t guard tight ends or mobile QB

3. Rattler cannot go through progressions. He had to have one read quick throws to be successful. Moore gave him a ton of those looks, which helped him. But there is no deep ball threat whatsoever. Once there is more film on us, teams will catch on, and it will be even harder to move the ball than it was today

4. Wish we saw more of the young guys today. Riley, stutsman, broughton, Boyd in particular.

5. Kool aid was underwhelming based on the pre season hype. Thought he struggled with Harrison and McBride when they tried him there. Local media made him sound like 07 darrelle revis all summer

Moving forward. We need to focus on not making the same mistakes twice, having continued buy in throughout the whole season, and continuing to develop young guys who could be pieces on a future winning team

I thought Moore had a good first game as coach. The non-timeouts before half were questionable, but he’ll figure that out.

You have no deep threat because they decide to let mvs go which was stupid. Him and Shaheed together would have opened up a ton of things for olave.cooks was a waste of money.

Seattle, who is also in need of a WR let him go too. With Klint being there he would have vouched for him if he was worth keeping.

Well written, thank you. If you were in the personnel department, we would have won today. Look forward to next week’s post.

Yes. He struggled against perhaps the best TE in the league and 2nd year Harrison who is there#1. But I mean cmon.
Worst play to me was a very weak paddycake attempt at a sideline tackle.
But you got most right.

Kool-Aid plays with no effort.

He dogged it on several plays today.

He is a typical Alabama frontrunner.
Quits fast and easy when things don't go his way.
Only knows how to play with a lead.

Spencer Rattler is a poor man's Chase Daniel. As long as he plays, we will need a perfect game all around to have a chance to win

Missed a big negative. Tackling. One bad missed would have gotten them off the field instead of letting a drive continue for a TD. And we wouldn’t have had the TO situation at the end of the 1st

Ruiz is still the weak link on the OL. Banks and Fauga are going to be mainstays at OT.

Another take away…Grupe makes me nervous. He missed a chip shot.m less than 40 yards.

I mean. He played well enough to tie the game. CKM knows how to maneuver Ratt.

Personally considering how good at escaping Kyler is, I think they did a pretty good job against his feet

Dude, the cardinals were in shell coverage all day. Nothing was going to go over the top. You are wanting Rattler to throw the long ball when it's likely an INT. He don't play that way. He's smarter.

I agree with you on point number four for the positive.

It will be Paramount that the team keeps playing hard and the effort remains high.

All signs if you've been living on narrative Street and go by the loss today, yes, they do point us to being a losing football team.

So if that happens and the losses do start stacking up like it seems that they will. Are these guys going to keep playing hard and it's going to be up to Kellen Moore to not have his message lost.

If he can do that then I'll take that. I really will.

I don't think Dennis Allen ever had the respect of the players. It was like he was just the substitute teacher that came on as the full-time teacher

He's going to take his lumps. There were some things that made me scratch my head, but I'm just an a****** yelling at my TV like the rest of us in our living room or wherever we're at listening to or watching the game

But Moore eats, sleeps and breathes football.

They stunk less than I thought they would, but it's the Cardinals so I will reserve judgement.
