Didn’t we trade a high pick for Vele to help our bad redzone offense

I would have thought he would have at least been on the field on that last play

I know, how dare he and Rattler be 10/10 on the same page and have excellent rapport.

Are we now calling future 4th rounders high picks?

I consider top 100 picks quality draft picks.

If it falls in the top 100, I consider it a high pick. That’s usually where the talent starts to thin out after in the draft.

Well considering 20% of 4th rounders even make the team, I’m okay trading for a player that can contribute.

It’s a 4th round pick …,

Really don’t care if someone calls it a High or a Low pick….. but it is a significant pick regardless what anyone says.

Just approach any team and ask them to just give you their 4th rd pick and see what happens.

We have 16 games to Geaux.

The players WR stats and contributions will tell the tale at end of the year.

Vele was in on the last series and Rattler tied to hit him in the endzone on one of the last plays. 6 ft Cardinals LBer showed off his vert and deflected the pass.

Jackass!!!! He has to learn the offense how long has he been with the team? A couple of weeks? Yeah, good job. You were probably one of those idiots pitching last year saying Baker's defense for lsu sucked. They have to learn it first. Offense clicking takes longer than a defense.

The average 4th round pick is worth:

- Less than 1/3 of the average 3rd round pick
- Roughly 1/7th of the average 2nd round pick
- Less than 1/16th of the average 1st round pick
- Less than 1/30th of the average top 10 pick

The 4th round is, definitively, where draft value starts to drop like a rock. I'm not defending trading away the pick, just making it clear...we did not trade away some super valuable asset.

Source: Trade Value Chart

I'll also add...only 20% of 4th round picks ever start more than 3 games in the NFL. Vele is still learning our offense and was a productive player last year. He will more than likely contribute to this team at some point, especially considering how often our top 2 WRs get hurt. Relax.
