Delane’s technique and Pickett’s freakish tools will get most of the headlines in the cb room but woodland will be the glue that makes this secondary elite. His short area burst and verstily to play the slot and the boundary will be extremely valuable when we face teams with multiple good wideouts like Florida. One of the most underrated plays in the Clemson game was his coverage on a slot fade vs Wesco. There are not many corners in CFB who can run stride for stride with Bryant Wesco from the slot playing press coverage with no help woodland made it look easy . His athleticism, IQ and inside -outside versatility will be valuable for the backend. Insanity this kid was a 3 star arguably was the best player in a talent rich state like Miss as a senior

I'm down with this take. I also think one of the other young guys can step up. Michael Turner is going to get a shot and I think he will deliver.

Wholeheartedly don’t know what EA saw in stamps play last year to give him that absurd rating lol. They prob assumed since he led the sec in PBU’s breakups he was elite

If he keeps making plays he’s going to be very much sung.

That corner blitz on the opening Clemson drive was a thing of beauty.

So often DBs get to the QB but fail to make the tackle. PJ got there and made the tackle on a strong talented QB…bravo!!

I think Aiden Anding is going to be a significant contributor in the coming years.

Unsung or Sung he is good at Football.

Amazing what a good coach can do when he knows exactly how to utilize the talent each of his players possess.

I heard a lot of talk in camp of him having to be very handsy because of his size and likely will get called for PI a lot so that's my concern with him. But he did play well on Saturday so maybe it was just because our WR room is so stacked.

I agree. Its the whole unit.
And they've spent months trying to cover our receivers in practice. He made it look easy.

This is a good football team

Woodland just wasn’t quite ready for a major role last year, but most freshman CBs aren’t. Guys like Stingley, Ricks and now DJ are the exceptions, not the rule.

He looks much more ready after a season in the system and a full offseason.

A lot of people bag on Stamps, but he would likely be a good Nickle or Dime. He just was never cut out to be a CB1 or 2.

But that just shows how good this group is now. He and Jackson, a former SEC starter, can’t even get snaps in a big game. That’s some impressive depth.
