Question about the Eagles uniform

I have always wondered why the Eagles don’t have the Eagle head on their helmets instead of the wings? It just feels backward with the wings being on the helmet and the Eagle head being on the upper arm/shoulder.

They have always had one of the best uni's in the nfl in my opinion. Unique, instantly recognizable, great color scheme.

The throwback kelly green jerseys are outstanding. Their standard midnight green with the blue tint that they wore last night looks like shite.

It's great, rather a full bird on there like the Orioles did in the 90's ? This was dumb to me.
The Vikings have the same concept as the Eagles. The Rams did but they screwed up one of the best damn unis in sports.
