Thoughts? Predictions?

I believe Emerils in its current version will get a star.

I think we will have very strong Bibb Gourmands and Rated restaurants.

We don't have a 3-star and probably not a 2 star.

Emeril’s may get 2 stars, certainly 1. Lots of Bibb restaurants…as it should be.

Restaurants typically don’t get three stars right out of the gate. But I’ve eaten at several 2 stars and a 3 star and Emeril’s is every bit of a 3 star restaurant.

I think Dakar and Étoile deserve at least 2 stars, but that’s IMHO.

Étoile

I like Etoile, but it's not ready. It aint getting a star. Others have mentioned N7 and LaPetite. Again, I like both, but I don't see it.

Emeril’s will get 2

Saint Germain should but it’ll get 1

Dakar 1

After that a lot of toss ups

This is Michelin South right?

Total of eight to ten stars in New Orleans would be my guess. And a lot of BG. Next release those numbers go up. Emeril’s from what I’ve seen is equivalent to a two star/three star in Europe. But seems criteria higher in America.

The initial batch of stars are less the point of Michelin. They want restaurants with a chip on their shoulder. If Tampa’s Rocca (which I love) has a star New Orleans has 8-10 places that match or exceed that.

I could see Lilette being a surprise choice since it’s now a celebrity haunt, but will definitely be BG.

August will likely get a star with Luke and Domenica possibly rated.

Pelican Club could be rated as well.

Mamou, Doris, Pigeon and Whale, Husky, Gautreaus

Hoping for Jamilas for a Bib Gourmand...wonderful food and owners.

Clancys is my favorite new orleans restaurant. I could see it getting rated easily.

That would be laughable.

This.

Some of these suggestions are absurd. The Husky? revolution? Come on.

It’s interesting no one has said Commanders. I don’t think it’s a Michelin star in the traditional sense, and honestly the service is overrated, but it will probably get some recognition.

We have a lot of great food and good to great service

But we don’t have a lot if the stuffy high end places that get stars

I think Emerils gets 2, maybe 3-4 places get 1, and a long list of BG

Care to expand on why you think that? When's the last time you've been? I know sometime last year they rolled out a tasting menu specifically geared for Michelin attention. I've been to multiple 1 star restaurants that RR would definitely beat out.
