Why is Eddie Vedder popular and Scott Stapp not?

They’re the same singer.

How exactly does a posi-trac rear-end on a Plymouth work? It just does.

It's clutch when it needs to be.

It doesn’t get Eddie Vedder than this.

Nah, Creed & Stapp are much better.

I think the hate for Stapp is because he started thinking he was the second coming of JC. Or something to that effect.

Though it’s irrelevant because Scott Weiland and STP ruled that era.

Creed including Scott Stapp seem pretty popular right now.

Vedder is definitely cooler. More charismatic. Better singer.

I wonder if the rest of their respective bands and the music they wrote and made has something to do with it.

STP and PJ are not of the same era as Creed. Their biggest selling albums all came out before Creed was even a thing.

Weiland had more vocal range than Vedder and Stapp, too. His voice on Tiny Music…Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop sounds completely different than his voice on Core and even Purple. He was such a talent.

Stapp went insane and destroyed himself and the band at the height of their popularity. He seems to be healthy now so it’s a good redemption story, but rock isn’t at the forefront of popular music and pop culture like it was in the 90s when PJ hit the scene.

Those 90s singers and the way they did their voices was comical.

They all sounded like an Adam Sandler song

I think he was involved in a car accident in 2002 and got a concussion. His life has never been the same. That accident cancelled part of a tour and caused tension between the band and him which led to band disbanding by 2004.

Beginning in 2003, Scott started to fall off the wagon with a string of suicide attempts, fights, legal troubles, drug addiction, and bipolar issues.

Yeah, no. Great band but that’s just not how it went down.

Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain were the face of “grunge” music in the 90s.
Then Chris Cornell and Billy Corgan
Then Scott Weiland/Lane Staley/Perry Ferrell

I have always wondered how Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone would have fared if he hadn't OD'd. He was more charismatic than Vedder imo

Layne Staley was grunge before it was even a thing. And Cornell was right there at the beginning as well.
Your list is shite.
