I haven't been to Ruffino's since Ruffin passed (RIP). I am thinking about making a reservation there for a work dinner. I remember it being good. Is it still good or has it fallen off?

We ate there at the beginning of August without any problems.

ETA: They're currently remodeling the entire bar area if that matters to you. They have a small temp bar in another corner.

It’s still steady…. Have some different dishes from time to time now with the new Chef.

I’d say try the crabmeat gnocchi app. It’s enough for a couple people to try. That’s some good shite. We got it the week the put it on the menu.

The chef won with it at the Fete Rouge deal. Not sure what that entails, but it’s good nonetheless.

I've never been a big fan of the Ruffinos experience
It's been over 15 years since I've been so either I'm missing out because it has sustained over time with different people running it

I believe they are still renovating the entire bar area so that area will be closed off FYI.

The bar is/was temporary relocated on the other side of the restaurant for the reno.

Went 10 days ago and bar is remodeled and now open. Food was excellent. Really enjoyed the appetizer sampler, which is an off menu item.

While you may not want a steak at a restaurant, they do a wonderful job with their steaks.

I've also gotten their pork chop dish, and I've always enjoyed their shrimp corn dogs and Veal Michael as well.

It doesn't seem to be quite as good. Service seems to be lacking from what it was as well. But, I'd say both are just slightly different, nothing terrible. I still go a couple of times a year.

Bar remodel is nice. They have been turning out some great meals. I've been maybe 4 times in the last year and each meal has been excellent. I like that the service isn't as stuff as it used to be although you still have several waiters taking care of the tables so the white table cloth experience is there. One of the better restaurants in BR and a great group of people who do a lot of good work in the community.

That was my experience as well...and I don't exactly have a particularly sensitive sense of smell.

IMO, the quality of the food had declined. The service was still good though

Last time we went was in February - it was very good. It’s nothing really special, but the food is good.

15 year's ago wife and I got food poisoning at Ruffino's. There wasn't enough positive about the place to ever go back.
