Anybody ever been locked out of their gun safe?

Currently locked out of my Stack On dial lock safe. Tried for two weeks to get Stack On to respond to tickets I've started online and can't get anyone on the phone.
Anybody ever been locked out of theirs? What did you do? Was hoping to avoid having to use a lock smith because I figure he's have to tap into it and obviously ruin the safe.
TIA

Yep. It was under warranty and they paid for a locksmith to come out and drill it, fix the issue, and reset my combo. I am glad it didn't happen the day before a hunting trip.

I am set to take a trip in the middle of September. After two weeks and no response from Stack On I'm getting a little nervous.
But doubt mine is under warranty, it's over 10 years old and bought it at Dicks, which doesn't even sell them anymore.

not familiar with the safe but I would bet that if you look on youtube and around the internet you can find a way in.

A couple of years ago, I had to call a locksmith to open mine. It was around $100 for the call and took him 5 minutes to open.

Yes. I ended up double checking the instructions and realized I wasn’t using the right pattern
How is it that you got locked out? I bumped my dial moving it before and it became very finicky for a while after. For whatever reason, it’s back to normal.
I also had a keypad shite the bed on my Winchester. Called them up and they sent me a new one. Unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in.

My dad lost his combo years ago. He had a Liberty. He had to get an affidavit signed and witnessed by the local Sheriff saying it was his safe. They charged him $350 to send someone out to unlock it

We had a cleaner come and I think she moved the dial when cleaning. That's literally the only thing I can think of.
So I need in to 1) Have access to my stuff and 2) Make sure the cleaner didn't steal anything.
I have the manual saved on my computer with the dial code and I've put it in 100 times and it just won't open.

Have a friend that has been locked out of his for over a year different brand. They won't send anyone to help him without an affidavit and proof of purchase. It has been a nightmare especially since the safe is three hours away at a hunting camp, trying to coordinate everything has been awful.
We are about to take a side grinder to the side and get everything out of it which is super easy but will obviously ruin your safe.

I called and gave them the serial no. and my I.D. They were able to give me an override code.

I couldn't get into mine once. Called the local dealer who is a friend. He told me to change the battery. Felt like an idiot.

Mine came with two really long looking skeleton key things in case you forget the the combo or the battery runs out. Could yours have come w/ something like that?

Yes but it was because my dumbass forgot where I hid the backup key. Randomly found it a year later. It was an elite hiding spot.

Mine doesn't have a key lock and it's an old school dial so no key pad/battery.
I did get a hold of a locksmith that said he normally can get in Stack Ons without having to dill into the dial. Just a quarter inch hole in the side. Cost $250.

I forgot my code on my liberty safe, took like a week of trying combos before I finally remmebered it. Then I saved the correct code in 10 different ways haha

Liberty safe came with manual dial. I later changed to S&G electronic keyboard lock. It malfunctioned after several months.
I called a locksmith and S&G. The S&G guy was very helpful and consulted with the locksmith. He had to email me the schematic that showed the locksmith exactly where to drill (and swore me to secrecy). Even with that, it took the locksmith drilling (I think) three holes and a parts of two days fishing around inside to get in. He was impressed by the safe.
S&G sent me a new keypad/lock, and the locksmith filled the holes so that you don't even see them. It's been installed for probably 15 years or more. Sometimes it doesn't open the first time you type in the code, but give it a few seconds to reset, and it works.
After that experience, I get out my passport, credit cards, etc. needed for major travel a few days ahead of departure.
