Maybe it's just me but perhaps we shouldn't elevate a previously unranked Florida State team into thr top 10 solely on the basis of besting a Bama team that's gone 5-5 over their last 10.

As I mentioned in another thread, I watch a lot of games with guys that played or worked in athletics in the SEC. After Bama lost, we all made bets on how far they would fall, as well as where FSU would end up after being unranked.
The consensus was Bama would not fall out the top 12, and FSU would go from unranked to top 10, because they have to be ahead of Bama and you must protect Bama at all costs.
Here we go....LOL
It is beyond hilarious how predictable this all is. CFB would be a much better sport if these idiots weren't allowed to run it.

Whittingham is one of the best coaches in the country and has consistently put together winning teams year after year. I would like to think last year was an outlier. They did lose both the startung amd back up Qb to injuries last season. No team is surving that strung of bad luck. and Utah may very well win the big 12 this season

True, but Arch should have been running a TON more. A coach should be able to see when a QB is off. Being an Aggie I think it’s great, but I put this one on the coach.

Utah beat UCLA which is a member of the B1G.
Same with FSU, they beat a member of the SEC.
The only surprise here is Miami not moving up higher after beating Notre Dame. In the past, beating even a bed ND team would get you at least +5 in the rankings.
Josh Pate already has Utah now winning the Big12. He also has Tulane as the G5 in the playoffs because they beat the "mighty" Northwestern.
The formula is simple: Beat a member of the P2 or Notre Dame and you at once move up a lot in the rankings. It is stupid because UCLA and Northwestern probably suck, but that is how the college football media operates.
