Only 37% of adults have sex weekly, and almost a quarter of people 18-29 had not had sex in the past year

Lack of fornication is a good thing.

I would love to see more people get married, though.

Hormones in the water supply, food supply and plastics.

Not to mention direct pharma.

Or maybe we're all grossed out by PREP ads.

Porn is a terrible thing for humanity. I believe its one of the greater ills we often overlook.

I dont want it banned, I just wish dudes would have the fortitude to stop patronizing it.

OK. I’ve also seen studies where people are not getting married as much. That was my focus.

Sex in marriage is biblical. Sex outside of marriage is sin.

I hope it is just because of the sampling.

You are correct on lack of marriage but sex in marriages is lacking which accounts for a lot of additional stress I’m sure

Or maybe we are just oversexualized in society.

It depends why. If there is a lack of sex drive by both husband and wife and they naturally just have less sex, then there is nothing wrong with that.

If they are having less sex because they are focused on pleasing themselves with masturbation to pornography, that is sinful, and each should avoid porn and seek sexual gratification in each other.

Over sexualized as a society ? Since birth rates across most of the forward economies dropping I would think that it somehow something else. 80 years ago families were more likely to have 4 plus children and were lower income levels whereas today with all the increased benefits of society they are having less, under 2 per household. The group of people not adhering to that averages are people from say Mideast, illegals in America and Central/ South America as well as people of African descent. White people and Asians are dropping in all categories of birth, including out of wedlock. I consider sexual relationships as the cementing bond between two people as without it people become distant and indifferent.

This plays on the thread yesterday from cubbies about the loneliness epidemic in males and the exclusion of such a high % of the male population from romantic socializing/relationships.

Nah, porn has replaced actual human sexual interaction for many people.

We traded beauty standards for "hotness" and seem to have forgotten that most relationships are rarely based solely on sex, but other things that get lost in lust.

Hook ups replaced dating. Dudes are floundering because they have forgotten how to deal with real women.

Porn does play a part but I heard a podcast recently about this and it’s no coincidence that this falls right in line with the obesity rate increasing every year.

Erectile dysfunction is an all-time high because of it and women and men both have lower confidence in their bodies. It’s also leading to women starting perimenopause much younger, with the average age dropping every year. Both of these things affect hormones and libido dramatically.

Also, big Pharma and doctors putting every middle-aged person on an antidepressant, which have their top side effect be no sex drive. I took Prozac for a year and it was the worst. I stopped at after I went on a beach vacation with my wife and could just look at a naked person and feel nothing. That’s no way to live.
