People don't realize it diffuses into soil unlike the previous versions with glyphosate

. I actually bought some and didn’t realize they changed the formula. But it didn’t kill shite for weeds in my landscape. I sprayed at least three times. Found a bottle of eraser and that took care of it for me

Triclopyr has a lot more soil penetration and half life than glyphosate. Tragedy they are losing lawsuits with zero scientific evidence of even statistical significance but that’s America. Triclo should only be used when glyphosate won’t do the trick.

Yep. And barely anyone realizes it's Triclopyr and Dicamba. It really flew under the radar. People posting still on social media how dangerous Roundup is because of the glyphosate don't even realize 95% of people are buying Triclopyr which could be worse in my opinion.

New roundup is garbage! Does not kill weeds like old roundup use to!

I use eraser now.

The new RoundUp has a soil residual that can kill desirable plants by moving from the soil into the desirable plants roots. Regular Roundup (glyphosate) doesn’t have a soil residual

Roundup is a trade name. The old “Roundup” formulation contained glyphosate as the active ingredient. The new “Roundup” does not. What you always want to look at are the active ingredients listed in smaller print under the trade name in the label. Always look for glyphosate at a 41% concentration. That is what the old “Roundup” was.

$50 for a 2.5 gallon container of Cornerstone from our local Co-op has lasted me for almost 10 years now and that shite will kill everything that gets near it.

They sell two versions now that I’ve seen. One advertises residual. Is the other one also a concern for doing damage from the soil?

Yes. Roundup 360 uses and has always used imazapyr. This can really get deep in soil or migrate to desirable plants but my neighbor uses it around his bushes and still has the nicest bushes in the neighborhood. Go figure.
The regular roundup used to be glyphosate which is almost 100% only leaf active and breaks down extremely quickly. Some species are safe to plant just a couple days after spraying. The new regular roundup uses active ingredients that have some additional root activity and do not break down as fast in the soil. It’s not as dangerous for desirable plants as 360 but mush worse than the old formula.

yes that will kill everything. Biggest thing with the new round up was it wasn’t killing the zoysia that creeps in my beds.
