If we think last night was a tough opener, just you wait. The “aw shucks” offensive mentality, including refusing to invest time and talent in a ground game, will be utterly decimated in a hostile environment. The OL forgot to BYOG last night. Better find those guts, gentlemen.

Their site really is not great...it is very choppy and boring.
Glad we have the Rant.
Thanks Chicken.

Are they still complaining about the pass interference call? I can’t believe how long they booed about that. It was BLATANT pass interference.

But even they admit LSU was robbed of that touchdown. How can everyone see it but the replay? Especially when called a TD on the field.

It was definitely pass interference, but it was the opposite of blatant. The guy did a good job of hiding it, and it was a good call by the ref. Dabo is from the Bill Belichick school of man-to-man coverage. Hold the shite out of them, and the refs will start letting it slide. Kristian Fulton was a master practitioner of that, but LSU doesn’t seem to coach that like Dabo does.

If they are salty at the refs, then they are idiots. If they are salty because Dabo isn’t adapting quickly to the portal to plug holes on the team, they have a legit gripe.

LSU’s defense was significantly better yesterday than any team this past 6 years. Our d-linemen were disruptive and stout all at once, our linebackers were active and aggressive and sure tacklers, and our DB’s looked like they knew what to do and had the skill to execute it.

Our offense, while not putting up gaudy numbers was efficient. For the first time since 2019 we ran the ball successfully on obvious running downs.

Last rant, if this team, that hasn’t run under center since 2019, can install an under center qb sneak, there is no reason every team can’t do it.

Good analysis.

I will add:

No huge plays given up by the defense.

I kept waiting for blown coverage, a 80 yard run....something. never happened

Saw a lot of predictions yesterday for us to play them again in the playoffs. They're going to be in for a surprise if they play this team late in the season, after the offense and defense have actually had time to gel, in the real Death Valley.

And good job to our punt rreturner handling each one. I was nervous on each attempt knowing a turnover at that point would be a killer. Each aspect of the game was solid. If we lost last night it would have been on Kelly (and the blown TD call). Kelly needs to get his act together or he will be the reason we drop a game we shouldn’t.

It’s just one game and I think the Clemson Qb and offense is overrated even if they will put up gawdy numbers in thir shitty conference but our defense looked as good as I can ever recall including our championship years. It was that well played. Our offense looked great but it has some wrinkles to work out. Better balance on offense with the offensive actually run blocking and some great moves by our rb and nice incorporation of talent at skill position to bring elite speed to the run game. Garrett looked better than Kubnik but wasn’t at his best, looking bad on the sack and missed a few throws but if he begins to iron out some of this the sky is the limit for this team. The offensive line and defensive line both looked good and are more than adequate. Line backers and dbs were off the chart good tonight.

Amazing how many people are acting like he’s a great coach simply for holding onto a lead at the end of the game. I guess he’s set the bar so low some people are willing to sing his praises.

I’m less sold on him now than I was before the game.

“they called us death valley junior

they walked all through our warmups

they wore 1-0 shirts

and they won

that's just ALPHA”
