Only the Mesquite Peppered beef jerky is smoked with Mesquite. Everything else is smoked with Hickory.
Now you know. Go with the Mesquite Peppered. Tastes like jerky was intended.

I have been to Buc-ee’s a few times, but I’ve never so much as tasted their beef jerky or a beaver nugget.
I might be the only customer in their history who can say that.

Bought a bag of the steakhouse flavor at the Baytown location. Paid for a bag of beef shavings. Tossed it because it was like eating shredded beef.
