Danzinger Bridge Shooting

I want to know the real story.
I don’t believe these officers just pulled up and started killing innocent people. If they did, it was mistaken identity due to extreme circumstances. I don’t believe there was any malice.
I do believe there was some cover up after the fact due to bad optics relative to the situation and these officers recognizing that outsiders would never understand the circumstances, but that is a minor crime IMO, considering everything.
These officers stayed behind, performed countless rescues, did the best they could and were vilified.
Someone on here knows the reason why shots were fired that day and I would like to hear why (and not just a generic “there was a report of shooting at other officers”)

It was extreme circumstances for the people who were just walking on a bridge then were chased down and shot at, a couple murdered, for no reason at all.

It’s not just the indictment. Go back and read the investigation reports and Factual Basis for the cops that flipped.
In a nutshell, they rode over there and shot a bunch of people they knew were unarmed. Shot some as they ran away, one guy in particular, that I actually knew in real life, shot two of the women, who then dumped over a concrete barrier, ole boy ran over there and lit them up some more, then walked down the bridge and stomped on and shot Ronald Madison.
If you think what they did was ok you are a major retard.
ETA / I was on their side when the story broke. Once the reports started coming out, that is shite that can’t be defended. Yes it was a fricked up time, but they went out with the intention to kill people and did so for no reason.

This is an interesting read, based on the statements on the cop that drove the budget truck to the bridge. The ultimate reason why shots were fired is that some cops snapped and lost their shite.

If your starting context is a normal day in the life of, start over.
Go with purge movie. More like that. Under water, power out, lawlessness, drug / territories and supply disrupted, uncertain where loved ones are, no clear sight on food n water, chaos and fear.

The Attorney General Charles Foti prosecuted Pou; not the DA. And the grand jury refused to indict Pou so your point is wrong. But you are correct the Pou prosecution was grandstanding bullshite.

There’s an old saying in legal circles that a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich if he wants. Indictments only tell the story the prosecutor wants to tell. They can be complete fabricated nonsense.
