Annual - How Does Mark Ingram have a job in major television broadcasting Thread

He can barely put a sentence together coheremtly, much less add even the slightest bit of value to a major national broadcast.
I assume he signed a multi-year deal with Fox after Reggie Bush wanted a raise and they balked. I also assume Fox is already looking for another former NFL running back to take his place the second his deal is up.

They need a SEC homer on set. He's fine.

Because he’s a likable guy. People don’t like someone being 100% perfect all the time. Need proof? Look at Podcast news numbers vs billion dollar professional numbers.. people are sick of fake shite these days

RG 3 got fired and hired by Fox. Standards are low across the board when it comes to broadcasting.
Is booger McFarland still giving his expert analysis

Mark Ingram, Desmond Howard, Booger, Kendrick Perkins, the list goes on…

Fringe benefits of being a heisman winner (first for Bama), national champion and successful NFL career

Ingram and Booger are actually entertaining. Desmond doesn’t bother me but I know that’s not the popular take. Kendrick Perkins is an utter jackass though.

Yeah, it's bad. He has shown no improvement. He could be Fox's Desmond Howard, I guess.

Guys like Ingram, Perkins, and Shady McCoy checked the most important box to qualify for and procure their respective jobs. Do you wanna take a wild guess what that box is?

That Bama diploma, though.

You would think with the amount of $$$ he has, he could afford a damn sport coat that fits. That button is hanging on for dear life.

He tore his suit today as well. Was way too tight.
He can’t get 3 words out without fumbling the oral football. He’s on Corso’s current level.

That’s kind of where I am.
Honestly, when you just grab a guy who was just a good player, he’s likely not going to be good at this.
Playing ball (especially football where you only get good at one position) doesn’t mean that you know the game well enough and can articulate what is happening effectively enough to be able to do in-game commentary without sounding like an idiot. It’s a different skill set.

Anybody remember Rocket Ismail’s ESPN stint? Wasn’t he on gameday?
