3rd Top 5 recruit to decommit in 1 year

Moore, Underwood, Keys. BK has done atrocious at this. Recruits at a lower level than O or Les. Would not want to be BK after this and if LSU does lose to Clemson. He's failing. Why College Football coaches are the only job I've ever heard of in my life that get paid $50 million to get fired is beyond me. A payout of remainder of contract for doing subpar work? Whoever thought to do this ruined college football. I would rather LSU go for coaches that are not as big name, but offer no buyout. That way you can switch year to year until you get someone instead of stuck for 8+ years. I'm sure LSU can find a head coach and offer no buyout.
I bet you there are dozens of SEC QB coaches or linebacker coaches or FCS head coaches that are absolute diamonds in the rough who could be the next big time coach. Why not leave yourself the option to have 8 possibilities over a 10 year period than locking yourself down to 1 coach for 10 years.
It's a risk to get a lower name, but it's a higher risk to lock yourself into a quasi proven coach for 10 years than try out 7 lower name coaches with high potential. NDSU head coach, people like that. I'd be 110% on board for sacrifcing name brand head coach we're locked into for 10 years for a lesser name, yet successful coach that we can throw away at no cost like a paper clip if it goes wrong.
This freed up money for a lower name head coach allows us to get more top recruits via NIL from the freed up money as well. A win win.

It’s all about supply and demand dummy
Some pay more than others for certain players
No longer about places or coaches

Youre blaming this on BK..?

Can we please do away with the term “commitment”? It obviously means nothing anymore.

I wish BK wasn't the coach either. I also wish he wasn't making 10 mil a year for 10 years. The contract is absurd.
That said, losing Keys isn't on BK.

You post a bunch of unintelligent garbage anyway, so this isn't out of the ordinary, however i have to clap back a little here. LSU prioritized Keys about as much as you could logically do so. LSU was offering him way more than they did DK Moore. However this dude decides to leave anyway because they want insane money.
This same Tennessee team paid Nico the highest contract at the time and after one year starting (2 on campus) his family wanted even more money. Keys will be the same way. He will end up wanting more.
If a kid, or his greedy azz parents, don't see the difference between LSU and Tennessee for a WR prospect, that's on them.

Where was Austin Thomas & Co.when this was going on? They need to start keeping a finger on the pulse of this class. Now go out and flip a couple of big fish to redeem yourselves. I thought Petitto could reel in Bradford. Time for some flipmas. We can play this game too.

Some of you need to take a break from thinking recruiting is more serious than just $$$ for a lot of these kids now. Theres nothing the coaching staff can do when a kid signs a shoe deal and gets thrown way more money than we are willing to spend as a result and said shoe deal is pushing him to go to a school where their stuff is worn.
Keys was an NIL recruitment from the start. We've had to up our offer MULTIPLE times just to keep him committed, this was never ending in our favor, he's been shopping the whole time and will continue to.

You do know that it took Underwood f-ing LSU & CBK over to kick this program in the arse. LSU signed a top notch transfer portal and still has an amazing signing class and isn’t done yet.
