It's hard to be an All-Star in the West, but I'm definitely not counting him out.

We have 3 players that could potentially be All-Stars this year.

It’s all about health for this team. If Z and TM3 are healthy and playing really well, they will make every other player significantly better with the attention they will require. And I think the surrounding talent can be really good complimentary pieces. This team can make the playoffs. Health is #1.

Yes, all 3 of Zion, Trey, and Poole have a chance to be All Stars this year.

Jordan Poole almost made All-Star last year on the worst team in the league.

Fan Vote: 9th among Eastern Conference guards.
Media Vote: Tied for 8th.
Player Vote: 14th among Eastern Conference guards.

And I predict none of them to make it.

All Zion has to do to make the All-Star team is be healthy imo, but its the fool me once fool me twice thing with him (4-5 times in his case).

1.. I think Jordan Poole is better than most think. Better than I previously thought.
2. Only 4 guards make the team. Finishing 9/8/14th in voting isn't really "almost" making the team.

Unfortunately it's the West so I have a hard time seeing any of them making it. Might be different if it was the East.

We've got a higher chance of winning 3 games or less in the first 6 weeks of the season than having 3 of our players make the All-Star team.

People really undervalue our depth and starters this year. We still have Murray who won't be an All-Star but can easily put up All-Star #'s and Herb Jones.

If we stay healthy we are a middle of the pack playoff team at worst and if Missi/ Queen/ Fears/ Karlo/ Peavy develop then we are a top end NBA team.

Overvaluing the roster would be saying "we have 3 players that will make the all star team"

All I said was that we have 3 players that potentially could and that is a correct statement..

I didn't say 3 will make the All star team and I didn't even say 1 will make the All star team.

I'm not overvaluing the team, you are just being a little whiny bitch.

Perfectly fair and honest response. I predict we have atleast 1 player make the All star team and yes we can potentially have up to 3. I highly doubt we have 3. Even if we don't have 3 make it we can still have 2 guys in high consideration as a borderline All Star.

We are a talented team even if you exclude the 3 rookies that have tremendous upside.

You can't base your opinion of this team off last years performance because none of those people played...

Didn't consistently play due to injury:
Zion
Trey
Murray
Herb

Wasn't even on the fricking roster:
Poole
Bey
Looney
Fears
Queen
Peavy

That's our top 10 of our top 11 players not including Missi.

Anyone who predicts our outcome this year based on last years performance is beyond ignorant.

I agree. If we are the healthiest we have been in a decade (which is a low bar we have to surpass lol), we are playoff team.

Some questions outside of injuries are:
1) Can Trey make that next step.
2) How does Poole play with the new group.
3) Can Zion do what Zion has to do.
4) Are the newcomers off the bench going to be legitimate threats.
5) What are we getting out of 2nd year Missi
6) Is Murray going to be effective 2nd half of the year when he returns (If he does. Im a little out of the loop on his recovery projections)

The ceiling of this team on paper isn't quite as good as last year going into the season imo, but I hope I'm wrong. We're a lot better depth wise down low at least, but not by a large margin.

We shall see.

What the frick are we smoking itt?

The Pels would have to be a top 4 seed level good with Zion going crazy just to get him on the All Star Squad

All star west starters
Steph
Bron
Toní
Jokic
SGA

Those are all probably locks, then you have ant edwards, okcs fagsquad, kawhi/jim harden, etc.

It'll be tough just to get one guy on the All star squad at best.

It's almost impossible without national televised games. The Pelicans don't get enough coverage on sports networks to help the cause either. The Pelicans would pretty much need to be a top 4 seed dominating in the first 25 games. Don't see it. Not this year.

TM3 at 24-25 a game shooting around 40% from 3 with the Pels at a 50-55 win pace would probably be what’d take for him to get there.
