Here lately these dudes have been ruthless. I come home to a flyer or card in my door almost everyday if not them ringing my doorbell multiple times per day

Is the roofing business that profitable from insurance companies? Google search in Baton Rouge and there’s like 100 of them

Recents ones: pelican roofing (annoying mofos), premier south, red stick

I’m convinced guys start roofing companies as an excuse to buy a new truck and basically not pay for it out of their pocket.

Call Bubba. He can always put his hands on a trailer if an extra one is needed.

Home improvement and repairs is starting to get this sales bro culture, it’s pretty irritating.

If they ain’t drinking twisted teas and have a couple neck tattoos, I don’t trust them. The best roofers show all their cards upon arrival. I’ve seen a crew leader slither around on a 10/12 in slip on slides.

Worked there for 8 months as a sales guy... they're a good company and take care of their people well, however they push the sales guys hard... minimum of 200 doors a week and 10% inspections... if you're not putting on at least one roof a week, they've got questions... they're not cheap, but the service and quality is above par

Next time I get my roof replaced, im going with them or Garcia (for the extra benefits of course)

The whole fortified roof thing has gotten big especially with grants available from the state gov.
Maybe that?

Yes, it is. The insurance company often pays a generous amount for a roof replacement. Typically the cost of the shingles is 1/3 of the Replacement Cost Value (RCV), the cost of the labor is 1/3 of the RCV and the remaining1/3 is profit.

Most roofers sell you on the fact that you have hail damage because they'll get the whole roof as opposed to just a partial replacement. Older roofs exhibit signs of granule loss and blistering that the roofer describes to the homeowner is hail and suggests they file a claim. If the insurance company doesn't pay, they fight it and eventually the insurance company will pay if you are persistent because it's cheaper to pay than fighting it through the courts.

The roofers will get some roofs and won't get others but they don't care because each roof could be thousands of dollars in their pocket so they'll tell everyone they have hail or "it's on the borderline, the insurance company may pay but they may not," - this makes them sound more trustworthy and let's them off the hook if the roof is denied. It's a very lucrative business and easy to get into as there is little overhead. It helps if you are a sleaze ball and have no morals so you can damage the roof yourself and chalk it up to the fake storm you're claiming.

Some companies even try and supplement the insurance company for more money to increase their profits above the 33%. They actually have teams nationwide that do this for small size roofing outfits for a fee, others do it in-house.

Thats where its all going, then the next step is once the rep is est. the buy outs start. Then the big umbrella companies start to buy them up.

That is where it is going.

I just went through this exact scenario, but insurance wouldn’t give in after like a year of back and forth. Started leaking so i just ended up footing the bill for replacement out of pocket

This is one of the reasons insurance has spiked recently. Greedy roofers milking everything out of a claim and or straight up damaging the roof during "inspections" to try and get a claim filed. Most of them eat the deductible to get the job. Louisiana sucks all around

We had a hail storm in Ruston about 6 months ago, and every roofer within 100 miles has been to my door. It’s irritating because we’ve had at least 10 houses in our neighborhood do all new roofs, and there is no way most are necessary. Guess insurance will keep going up.

I was speaking with the owner of a roofing company a few months back and was told there are more than 150 companies registered in ascension parish
